This is a prime example of why strict gun laws and more strict self defense laws are necessary. Ignorant Bubbas like this go around spreading false information like this instead of using the heaps of information at their finger tips and the dozens of criminal defense attorneys that now have YouTube channels coming out the ass that clarify the laws on this. Nowhere in the country (even Texas). Is a warning shot legal. Nowhere in the country (even Texas) are you legally allowed to shoot someone just for being on your property. If these people will not put in the effort to even read then they should not be trusted to own a firearm. At a minimum it should be required that every gun owner pass a written examination of firearm and self defense laws every other year.

Perhaps the most scandalous and underreported aspect of the Talarico story is that his rise to national prominence was aided by the "Republican" leadership of the Texas House. Talarico helped elect Dustin Burrows as Speaker of the House in 2025. And, years after Talarico pushed legislation to FORCE PUBLIC SCHOOLS TO TEACH DEI and HIRE DEI OFFICERS... Burrows rewarded Talarico by appointing him to FOUR committees/sub-committees (more than many House Republicans get put on), and... Burrows put Talarico in House leadership by giving him TWO VICE CHAIRMANSHIPS... Including making Talarico VICE-CHAIR of the powerful subcommittee on ACADEMIC & CAREER-ORIENTED EDUCATION. These betrayals gave Talarico a platform that helped lead him to the Democrat nomination for the U.S. Senate. Austin Republicans need to wake up, and start fighting Democrats... not empowering them.
