for some reason the older we get the harder it is to lose weight. for me a real struggle. walking but not enough due to dodgy knee. any thoughts? hate water or swimming (sorry)

@1GarethWynJones More renewables. More buildings built with solar panels & wind turbines (they come in many shapes and sizes nowadays). Tidal has huge potential, as does other water systems. But nothing is entirely green - plastic from oil and concrete are needed. We need varied sources of power.

The gym teacher, in the end, gave up on any hopes ofbgetting me up the rope. It just wasn't going to happen. Thank goodness I wasn't from a naval family in the days of tall ships (Oh yikes, I am!)

@mrsverypicky @Sharpr1966 Well, the bun was free due to me getting a voucher yesterday. Yesterday's shop was mismatched too: bottled water (emergency) dishwasher salt and a pair of gym leggings 😂

@PintSizedFarmer I remember starting on the 50 patch which was out of date b4 the end of that month. I could feel it running round my veins for 4 weeks and then felt absolutely nothing for 9 months. Have just started a new box with the longest expiry date ever and I can feel it again 🤷🏼‍♀️

Perimenopause update: GP has upped my HRT to the highest dose.* Patch is now bigger than my head. I can smell colours, taste numbers & hear people’s thoughts. Considering running for Prime Minister and joining the local ice hockey team. (*100 Evorel, in case you want to join in)

A great winter for ducks. While hens hide in their sheds the ducks have been out foraging in driving sleet. Layed every day Seems to be prejudice and false narratives around their eggs, which is frustrating. I sell at same price and twice the weight (85g). Lots of funny faces!

@EledaReeth @Sharpr1966 I've had duck and turkey eggs locally in Northants and apart from the weight haven't noticed much of a difference between them and hens eggs.

Dear @Number10cat Count your days you fluffy rodent. When I get into that place I am bringing my dog, Cunty McCat-Killer. The taxidermist wont even be able to make a muff cover out of what is left of you.

@cm_bagot Sounds like a lovely day for you both. It's been our first completely dry day in weeks here along with some sunshine. Got some spring and summer bulbs planted today. Rather late and they are mostly shrivelled but who knows, wr might get a display.

today the wind dropped and the sun shone. we had a short walk by the sea in St Anne's followed by coffees. by the time OH got to the front of the queue at the counter our coffees were waiting him. isn't that nice?

@cm_bagot That's dreadful, I wouldn't go back. Hope your food made up for it?

impulse lunch out. cold and windy so chose a pub with a fire. mistake since despite large pile of firewood the fire wasn't lit. ate lunch in coat and scarf! meal ended by trip to ladies. first two loos blocked and unflushable. honestly! what a way to end a pub experience.
