Singapore family offices love AI—but can’t invest in it.
Top deals (e.g. OpenAI) are locked behind networks + big institutions.
Bridging the gap? VC partnerships + diversification.

We post-trained a 3B model with RL to beat Opus on spreadsheet retrieval. Faster, cheaper, more accurate.
- If a piece of your agent loop is narrow, verifiable, and highly repeatable, a tiny trained model might beat the frontier.
- The application layer is still early and new verticals are opening fast. Cheap domain specialists orchestrated by a frontier model that only spends tokens on judgment is a bet worth watching.

Here's my conversation all about @FFmpeg, the legendary open-source software powering most video on the Internet. In the episode, I talk with Jean-Baptiste Kempf and Kieran Kunhya. JB is lead developer of VLC and Kieran is FFmpeg contributor, codec engineer, and the person behind the now-infamous @FFmpeg account on X.
VLC (@videolan), by the way, is also a legendary piece of open-source software: it's a video player that can open basically anything & has been downloaded over 6 billion times.
I think both FFmpeg and VLC are two of the most important and impactful software systems ever created, both open source, and both created & maintained by volunteers: brilliant engineers from all walks of life.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to FFmpeg and VLC, and in general to all engineers giving their heart & soul to building systems used by millions (or billions) of people, and often doing so not for money, status, or fame, but purely for the love of building great software and doing good for the world.
Thank you to the builders! 🙏❤️
Shoutouts in this chat to @ID_AA_Carmack @karpathy @elonmusk @TimSweeneyEpic and everyone who is a contributor & fan of open source!
It's here on X in full and is up everywhere else (see comment).

Many of us are using Tailscale to access our devices remotely.
This is insanely useful as you have access to your Tailnet (all devices with Tailscale installed form your Tailnet) from your phone!
Setup can be daunting but it’s actually quite simple once you know what to do! The personal (free) tier is incredibly generous and allows up to 100 devices. If you haven’t added Tailscale to your stack, I made this for you!
Set Up Tailscale Exit Node (Route All Phone Traffic Through Your Home Machine)
What You Get
Access your home network from anywhere in the world. All phone traffic tunnels through your machine — works like a personal VPN.
Prerequisites
- A machine that's always on (Linux box, home server, etc.)
- A Tailscale account (free for personal use)
- Your phone
---
1. Install Tailscale on Your Machine
curl -fsSL tailscale.com/install.sh | sh
sudo tailscale up
Log in with your provider (Google, GitHub, Microsoft, etc.).
2. Install Tailscale on Your Phone
Download from the App Store / Play Store and log in with the same account.
3. Enable IP Forwarding
echo 'net.ipv4.ip_forward = 1' | sudo tee /etc/sysctl.d/99-tailscale.conf
echo 'net.ipv6.conf.all.forwarding = 1' | sudo tee -a /etc/sysctl.d/99-tailscale.conf
sudo sysctl -p /etc/sysctl.d/99-tailscale.conf
4. Advertise as Exit Node
sudo tailscale set --operator=$USER
tailscale up --advertise-exit-node
5. Approve the Exit Node
Go to login.tailscale.com/admin/machines, find your machine, click ⋯ → Edit route settings → enable exit node.
6. Connect from Your Phone
Open Tailscale app → tap the exit node option → select your machine. Done.
---
Optional: Fix UDP Throughput Warning
If you see the GRO warning:
sudo ethtool -K eno1 rx-udp-gro-forwarding on rx-gro-list on
Make it persistent:
echo -e '[Match]\nOriginalName=eno1\n\n[Link]\nRxUDPGroForwarding=true\nRxGroList=true' | sudo tee /etc/systemd/network/50-tailscale.link
Verify
tailscale status
Your phone should show active (be sure you’ve downloaded the Tailscale app and it’s running on your phone 🤓) and your machine should show as an exit node. Test by disconnecting from WiFi on your phone, selecting the exit node in Tailscale, and browsing — all traffic now routes through your home machine.

Our first dive into Multi-Agent Coordination and Cooperation is here, with Hermes Agent Kanban
Orchestrate tasks across multiple agent profiles and dependencies easily and visually. Achieve more.
See the docs here:

Nous Research@NousResearch
Hermes Agent now has multi-agent via the Kanban, new in v0.12.0. Agents claim tasks from a board, work in parallel, and hand off when blocked. You watch progress and unblock from one easy view instead of juggling terminals. We asked it to plan and make this video about itself:

Post Part 1:
Here is how I used AI to create over $240,000 this year SO FAR and added more than 400,000 followers to our accounts.
The next few posts will take you through a huge part of how I think about AI. The kind of software I am creating and building.
I'm not going to fuck around creating stupidly long posts that are AI hypoerbol. Just the meat.
I'd say my largest influence in doing this overall have been some of the below accounts (but not limited to and probably missing a ton).
@garrytan
@sudoingX
@0xSero
@NousResearch
I'd also say @wickedguro is one heck of a builder too.
In January this year I realised that we are sitting in the largest period of generational wealth ever.
There is a gap.... I vowed I didn't want to find out what the wrong side of that gap looked like.
I felt woefully behind.... and most days I still do.
But I vowed to create, learn, create, learn, create, learn.
Most nights for well over 2 months I would be up until 2am, and back up again by 6am.
Grinding, learning, headbutting my screen.
Swearing at a command line.
Telling it if it couldn't fkn get this right I was deleting it..... like that mattered.
Really learning what it even meant to be building something that could out produce me generally in anyway.
I also knew that if you wanted quality output you had to think differently.
I treat AI like I am booting up a brain.
Layering in knowledge and frame's so that the only natural conclusion is that I get the kind of result and outcome that I desire.
Here is the AI Video Intelligence / Catalog platform that I created.
This is the core of our content strategy currently and it allows me to post and produce 3 to 5 reels every day effortlessly.
Generating millions of views, thousands of leads and well as the screenshot shows.... the real measure... cash in the door.
More importantly this is a system of attention.
Here is video 1 & 2 of my system currently.
Part 1

Part 2
loom.com/share/374342f1…
Everything in here is custom coded and developed using the principles I have learnt through @garrytan
The rendering engine I do use is @Remotion
In the next part I will go over our support engine.
