Tennis sparring is my paid job, so I do not record my work. Not long ago, I played a beach volleyball tournament, grinding out 6+ intense matches a day because I competed in Men's 2v2, Mixed with my wife, and Men's 4v4 categories, completely on zero carbs. Zero energy dips. I barely document my life and my wife just shot a couple of clips when she was free because my focus is on playing, not content. I am a crappy blogger, so what. I choose volleyball because playing tennis pro is a massive financial drain and I actually hate tennis. You have to change shoes every 2 weeks, buy new balls for every single workout, and strings break every 2-3 training sessions, plus it is brutal on your joints. Volleyball just needs shorts and sand is forgiving. If you want to argue, go test this lifestyle for 3 months, or better a couple of years with blood panels to actually know for sure. Better yet, stop wasting our time nitpicking a stranger over a 30-second video, claiming it is not a workload or that someone must stand across the net because "that is not how people train." Tell me what works based on what you have actually tried in your own life. Show your own life, share your experience, and I will gladly say "good job brother" and give you a like. Everyone wins. Why engage in this nonsense. Go focus on your own life instead of trying to correct strangers. This is my last reply.

In the 1800s breakfast was eggs and meat. Real fuel. Then John Kellogg invented corn flakes to calm down his patients and suppress their energy. His brother added sugar and made it a billion-dollar industry. They didn’t design cereal for health. They designed it for control. Are you still starting your day with a bowl of obedience?

Always happy to help. Let me know how you are doing in a few weeks. Do not forget to eat plenty of fat. When I switched to keto five years ago I had absolutely zero energy for two weeks. I could not even walk up to the second floor because my legs hurt so much. You just have to wait it out until your body learns how to run on fat

@arny_dm Cool man. Thanks for breaking it down. I’m glad I’m doing some things right. I appreciate you taking the time to respond. I’ve been getting back into tennis which I’m excited about. Baseball was my sport in college but tennis has always been my #2

Everyone is terrified that red meat will destroy their cholesterol. Meanwhile, cereal companies slap a big red heart on a box of pure sugar and nobody even blinks. I’ve eaten steak almost every single day for years. My bloodwork is clean. That cereal box has never had to prove a damn thing to anyone. We trust fancy packaging more than we trust our own bloodwork. What “healthy” food do you think would actually fail a real test if someone bothered to run one?

I dropped a huge slice of butter on my steak at dinner and the guy next to me gasped like I just committed a crime. Ten minutes later I watched that exact same guy eat a protein bar with twenty chemical ingredients he could not even pronounce. Butter built healthy humans for thousands of years. Granola bars were invented to sit on a shelf for five years without rotting. We did not get smarter about food we just got brainwashed by clever packaging. What is one natural food you used to be terrified of because of bad marketing?

@AndyBethel6 Your numbers are actually great. A triglyceride to HDL ratio close to one means your metabolic health is excellent. In our community we do not worry about ApoB when triglycerides are that low. Donating blood was the perfect move for the ferritin

@arny_dm Cool, thanks. Do you think your bloodwork is good due to the diet, the fact that you fast more often or combination? My total cholesterol is 218, LDL 134, ApoB 103, trig 73, HDL 69, Trig/Hdl 1.04, ferritin 350. ApoB & ferritin (just donated blood to reduce) are concerning markers

@arny_dm I eat butter and about 5-7 grams of salt a day and people are like, "your blood pressure is going to kill you with all that salt." My BP is about 115/70 normally. I eat at least one steak a day, though today I met friends at a hamburger joint and just ate cheeseburger patties.

@RacecarengTom Doctors refusing to believe food causes issues is a classic story. Dairy is a massive trigger for so many of us. I rarely eat it now because it immediately ruins my skin and causes dandruff.

@arny_dm Tried to tell my Doctor over 40 years ago my migraines seemed to be food related. Was told that wasn't possible. No migraines on mostly carnivore, can get vision disturbances I think from histamines, so recently dropped cheese.

Your migraine isn't random. It's a message. And almost nobody is reading it correctly. Doctors call it genetic. Hand you a pill. Tell you to avoid stress and good luck. Nobody asks what you ate yesterday. Here's what's actually happening. Every time you eat grains, fruit, or sugar, insulin spikes. Do that for years and your cells stop responding. Blood sugar crashes. That crash alone can trigger the headache. Add vascular spasms from the chaos and inflammation finishing the job, and you've got the full migraine package. Then there's your gut. Grains, legumes, nuts, seeds. All loaded with lectins, proteins plants use specifically to damage the lining of anything that eats them. A damaged gut doesn't keep its problems to itself. The inflammation travels. Straight to the brain. And here's the one nobody talks about. Salt. Everyone's scared of sodium. Backwards thinking. Sodium is what keeps your nerves firing correctly. Cut carbs without increasing salt and your kidneys flush out even more sodium than before. People go low carb, their migraines get worse, and they blame the diet. They only did half of it. So what actually works? Cut the sugar, grains, legumes, nuts. Add fatty meat, liver, bone broth, eggs. Salt your food like you mean it. Stop snacking all day. Eat one or two real meals. I've seen people go from weekly migraines to zero in a few weeks just from fixing these three things. Not magic. Just turning off whatever was setting off the alarm in the first place. Before you reach for another prescription, did anyone ever ask what's actually on your plate?

I used to scan barcodes at the grocery store like I was defusing a bomb, doing macro math before checkout. Now I grab meat, eggs, and salt and I'm out in five minutes, looking like a guy who gave up on his health. My last bloodwork says otherwise.

@MasalaFry69 You are absolutely right. One gram of carbs retains four grams of water but one gram of salt holds only one. Carbs are the real cause of the bloating and high blood pressure.

Salt isn’t bad for you, carbs are. It's carbs that cause water and sodium retention. Higher water volume = higher blood pressure. Sodium is just an innocent bystander
