This is a Stringman crane robot performing a mostly autonomous room cleanup.
Total real time was about 10 minutes. There was some manual intervention mostly at the end to get those clothes that were hanging over the edge into the basket and I will be adding some of that to the dataset in hopes of getting the model to learn to do it.
The autonomy is a hybrid and heavily tested approach that uses the model for what it seems to be good at, which is grasping and sews together the gaps with heuristics. After all, the non-grasping parts are just point-to-point movement.
The design is completely open source from the software to the pcbs. Tomorrow I'll be showing how it fared in cleaning up the playroom whether successful or not.
