@Raffzahn Hmmmm.... you know I think I do have some drawings which may have those values. I will look this weekend, if I find anything useful, I will post up onto atarimusuem and post the link to view.

@atari_museum Not necessary the first, but one with the dimensions/curvaure values added. I was about to do a tiny 2600 demo when I realized that the logo is available in a zillion variants but no hint about the 'right' version.

@atari_museum Curt, I'm looking for some genuine Atari source for their logo. So far I could find this, but it seams redacted, so any idea if there's still a original version around?

From the Tandy Archives. This is interesting given the recent news of Microsoft open sourcing their GW BASIC. 36 years ago Microsoft handed off the source code and maintenance of TRS-80 Model II BASIC to Radio Shack.

It’s not good when you find a random capacitor ripped from its pad lying in the computer case.

$10.5 Billion in game sales in April is amazing. Animal Crossing, Doom & the other usual suspects led the charge. Console category sales up 42%. I'm very fortunate to work in games right now and we need to start talking about how we use this success to help others less fortunate.

@KaySavetz Nolan left in 78. I don't recall seeing ads with the jingle until 1981, maybe 1980 the earliest, so was DDB contracted while Nolan was still at Atari? Too bad Kassar isn't still alive, he may have known who did it.

@GameResearch_E @KaySavetz I did actually contact the ad agency, who said they did not create the slogan. Fact checking, is mythbusting too, because it corrects the history with facts and helps to dispell the myths. I do a tremendous amount of contact based research to get facts on what is not just "not."

@KaySavetz No disrespect to Marty and Curt, but most of the information in their work is about what is NOT rather than what IS. They have a propensity for mythbusting more than examination so you should definitely double check lines like that, especially lacking citation.

Anyone ever seen Atari Caribe Magazine? I was sent some binders from a person who ran the main Atari Computer Users group in Puerto Rico back in the 1980's and there are several issues of Atari Caribe magazine, similar to the Atari Club mag from Europe. Solely for Atari 2600

@Atari_VB_Pod I'll do you one better... the Hitachi 63xx series was compatible with the Motorola 68xx series. The 6801 was used in the Coleco Adam for its keyboard, tape and disk drives on what was called "Adamnet" the Atari ST's used the 6301 for Keyboard, joystick & mouse.

into the Vertical Blank - 80's Atari and more!
Here's a fun fact. There is a 6301 (Hitachi) Processor in the Atari ST that has 128Bytes of RAM and 4K of ROM. It's used for the Keyboard, mouse and controllers ports. It's powerful enough to play 90% of all Atari 2600 games ever game, if they could be ported to it. =)

@blakespot Great shot. Way, way, way ahead of its time. Makes you think it came from aliens. I have the privilege of driving by a A-12 most days at the U.S. Space and Rocket Center.
