@aussiewongm It is a sump pit, designed to reduce the amount of debris flowing through the system. These are meant to be checked and cleaned periodically, but they never are because preventive maintenance is nonexistent in much of this country.

The outlet for this pit is at the top not the bottom - I ended up following the cut in the concrete and it seems like it's a very shallow grade to another pit nearby, which eventually ends up in a street drain. So I'm guessing that's the best they could do for crossfall here.

@ma261065 The funny thing is that the fuel pipeline was closed recently, so they were running B-Doubles out of Viva at a rate of about one every 2-5mins to Tullamarine. From what I was told, this was a safety measure for the LXRP.

Hmm, so the fuel pipeline couldn't be moved at Champion Rd, leading to the crossing being closed... But the exact same pipeline can easily be moved for the airport rail link?

@ony8590 @disco___cat The builder who did some repairs on our house recently uses his BYD Shark6 every day. He even tows a trailer 😂🫠 He has done this for more than 12 months, and he plans to convert his entire fleet as they come up for renewal. So, run along, troll 🧌
