The Royal Navy has officially run out of ships.
I have been raising this issue for weeks. Once HMS Dragon was deployed to the Eastern Mediterranean we were always likely to be unable to fulfil our Standing NATO Maritime Group One commitment next month with HMS Dauntless in Fleet Time Support Period.
Now it’s official. The Germans have had to bail us out.
I asked the Defence Secretary on 9th March in the chamber if he could guarantee that we will be able to fulfil our commitment to NATO in providing the flagship role, and whether he could guarantee that it would be provided by a British ship?
He lied, telling me that “we will always fulfil our NATO commitments”.
It doesn’t look like it now does it.

Britain has paid Norway over £100 billion for gas since 2021.
For gas they’re drilling in the North Sea, the same sea Ed Miliband has banned new drilling in on the British side.
