The shooter from last night was a CalTech grad who had just got his graduate degree in computer science. He was staying at the hotel. The shooting happened the floor above the ballroom. Despite Trump trying to use this to push forward his ballroom project, it’s unclear if Trump was even the target! He was not politically affiliated. Donald Trump is a cruel, hateful, divisive person, with the world’s biggest microphone, who incites violence against people every single day. He lives off of hate & division. Every day, Trump lights a match and spreads hate. So it’s not surprising someone would try to commit violence against him. It’s wrong, but not surprising.
