The Americans are back on the “ancient levant was white” cope. White means European and all whites descend from both Western Hunter Gatherers and Eastern HG’s neither of which ancestry types existed in typical ancient Levantines. The Roman Levantine populations descended mainly from Levantine HG’s and also from Zagros farmer/CHG and Anatolian HG’s. None of them looked whiter than modern Middle Easterners do. Ancient Egyptians descended from multiple waves of different Levantine populations from the stone age to the Bronze age and they left Roman era portraits - see pics. That’s generally what all people of that region looked like and still do so deal with it.

The worst part about modern war is that we do this thing where we only hit "military targets" and not go after population centers. The last half century of warfare has been zero stakes which is why it's been disastrous. We could turn Tehran and Tel Aviv into a fucking crater, no Americans would care. Trump's polling would skyrocket if he put a Buccees and Golf Course ontop of the graves of 10 million Iranians. But no, we do this dumb game that wastes time.
