I think a big reason Marathon doesn't pull in more and more players each day is simply because it doesn't dip into using the typical retention strategies people expect from FPS games. There's no daily challenges, no casual mode. It has an all-or-nothing approach

@Zavallr I ran some matchmade Arenas last night and two of there were my favorite map. Tonight I’m doing a team Rundown with some clanmates because we’re hunting shinies. I run an hour or so of Altars of Sorrow a few times a week because it’s fun. It’s always a good time to play Destiny.

@TooDiffizzle My Marathon experience improved dramatically the day I restricted play to consoles only.

I ran 400+ meters away from this team while they were fighting two other teams at dormitories and sat in the deepest corner of Air Field for 6 minutes+ and they still somehow knew where I was. I wonder how that is!
