Have you ever seen a tweet that doesn't even concern you, but you immediately go to that person's profile and block them because you don’t want to see any more of their thoughts on your timeline ever again?

@SDDonovan I have a vague idea of the character arc and maybe the end, but the end usually changes by the time I get there. I follow the character arc from plot point to plot point

Do you tend to plot your whole novel, or just discover it as you go? I usually know the end and that's about it!

It took my new cat a while to realise that kissing the top of her head was a gesture of affection, but I think she's finally got it. The downside is that she now thinks the best way to signal that she wants cuddles is to come charging at me and mash the top of her head against my face. It's like a very affectionate punch in the mouth.

Do authors actually write people they know into their works? I've never done it myself! I've given my characters interesting traits I've come across in real people, yes, but I've never written the actual person as a character! 🤔

@TheaLanden @SirArminius What I didn't like about Atticus was barely any customization. For physical copies I can add the font I want and use it for chapter titles & drop caps, and something else for headers & page numbers. I like to match the cover font to the chapter title/drop cap font

@SirArminius I still use Word for just about everything, including ebook formatting. I did get Atticus last year, which I've gradually been using for paperbacks, but I can practically format for Kindle in Word in my sleep at this point, so I haven't switched over yet.

@Aella_Girl Came home in the dark one night and as I got out the house key, rattling started from the doormat. Screamed and ran. I felt bad later all I did was scream but it alerted my kiddo & fiance to the danger almost as quickly as the rattle. We were all fine, snake slithered away.

Women's ability to scream is actually extremely important. Once at 2am in istanbul I got stalked down deserted alleyways. I tried to run but he followed me; in a dead end i turned around, he was lunging at me, and something primal and ancient took over; i screamed with a scream I didn't know i was capable of. I was not conscious of it, it was like I was possessed, it was ear-splitting. The guy stuttered to a halt, and everybody in the near vicinity buildings woke up. He bolted away, and all the neighbors came out to try to help. It was really cool to find out my body came installed with alarm hardware that I'd never before had cause to get activated. It was effective! It possibly saved my life!

Some days you can’t love social media enough. This is one of those days. It began like this. Someone stole 12 tons of KitKats. And then the replies started coming in. Scroll down.

@SDDonovan Unsplash, pixabay, and pexels for free pics, and Canva to build what I want. I don't publish with those but you could if it was a good enough cover. Here's one I made a while back I think would probably be good enough.

Real question... Who do you guys use to make your covers? Or maybe good sites for premades? I have an idea for what I want, but I can't seem to find any premades that are similar.
