Jaylin Williams and Justin Champagnie started it by not just stepping away from each other for the inbound. Then Champagnie took a shot at Ajay Mitchell. Lots to sort out here.

Hmmm I got it.
NBA switches to points instead of wins.
If you beat a team .500 or over, you get three points. If you beat a team under .500 you get two points. If you go to overtime, loser gets one point. Otherwise, loser gets 0 points.
Lottery odds are determined by the most points of the bottom 14 teams.

@brookshepp I'm not anti-Nored. I just think Butler has sometimes pigeon holed itself into only considering Butler candidates and I don't think that's the right approach here.

Not saying Ron Nored isn't a worthy option, but I think it would actually help Butler to think about getting fresh eyes, perspective, and level-setting from a head coaching candidate who isn't part of the Butler family.

@DustinVanTine @CanadianYinzer I’m not one to speculate on portal departures but, yes, some attrition at guard seems inevitable. Although less obvious than Booker/Normand last year. Even if we see one guard leave, there’s still an obvious 11-man depth chart with Scott and Carr at the 3-4.

There have been countless memorable Senior Days at Michigan State. My two personal favorites were when Lourawls 'Tum Tum' Nairn Jr. and Cassius Winston had their memory-making moments. It should be fun to see the reactions from MSU fans and Tom Izzo tonight.

Multiple sources with knowledge of Thursday's GM meeting as well as a late January Competition Committee meeting told ESPN that the following concepts have been discussed to curb tanking: •First-round picks can be protected only top-4 or top-14+ •Lottery odds freeze at the trade deadline or a later date •No longer allowing a team to pick top 4 in consecutive years and/or after consecutive bottom-3 finishes •Teams can’t pick top-4 the year after making conference finals •Lottery odds allocated based on two-year records •Lottery extended to include all play-in teams •Flatten odds for all lottery teams

MSU had four on ball shot creators last year. This year they had two and with the Divine news they’re down to one. It’s a roster flaw that may end up fatal. Fears basically has to be a 38min+ Ironman the rest of the way for MSU. MUST stay on the floor and keep his poise to do so.

I wish the protections would have been stronger But I will say that if the Pacers landed in the 5-9 range I feel like they would have looked to trade the pick anyway And they keep the flexibility to trade other picks on the near future if it does land there So it makes more sense than it may seem Even though it feels risky in the surface
