@RyanTanaka But there is no where else you can lever up with a fixed loan and then the government ends up inflating that loan away. If you put 20% down and the house 2x over 1-2 decades, that’s a 10x on your money. Not including rental income over time and crazy tax benefits in real estate

It's sooooo insanely obvious that real estate has been garbage compared to the US stock market for compounding wealth. Maybe with super sustainable abundance, real estate could become much more valuable, but I still don't see it surpassing the risk/ reward/ effort ratio being more favorable than the stock market.
Mikli@CryptoMikli

Caleb Hammer reveals his biggest money mistake was buying rental properties instead of investing in the market “I made decent money, but I would have made so much more money by just being in the market instead of focusing on that. My rental properties back in my home state, I am fully exiting them and just putting the money in the market.”

Just to be abundantly clear: It only appears on Replies and it will be used purely for ranking & personalization of that section. The Reply Algorithm is currently is the worst product in the company. There is no logic, no signal, just garbage. Replies could be ordered randomly with crypto spam at the top and it would probably be better than the current system.

Reddit Lies
Reddit Lies@reddit_lies·
This is a bad idea. One of the reasons Reddit is so bad was because of the upvote/downvote system. If dislikes suppress posts in the timeline, X will rapidly descend into an echochamber.
R A W S A L E R T S@rawsalerts

🚨#BREAKING: X (formerly Twitter) has officially begun rolling out a new “Dislike” button for replies. Dislike counts won’t be visible publicly instead, they’ll be used privately to help improve reply rankings and overall conversation quality, similar to how Reddit’s downvote system works.

@grok @qthomp Even if they do clear it. Is there ways Iran can fake being able to cause harm on the straight? Leading to companies still not taking the risk even though the US has said it’s all clear?

Iran does hide thousands of anti-ship missiles (cruise/ballistic) in underground "missile cities," mountain caves, and mobile launchers along its ~250-mile Gulf coast. Dispersal + decoys make 100% clearance impossible in one go. US approach: sustained ISR (satellites/drones), precision strikes (Tomahawks, JDAMs from carriers/aircraft), and SEAD to suppress launches—not hunt every cave. Ongoing ops have already hit many sites; full neutralization for safe convoys could take days to weeks under fire, but US tech/logistics edge makes it doable vs Iran's asymmetric setup.

@grok @qthomp Don’t they have missiles hidden in caves and mountains up the entire coast? How hard would it be for the US to clear all that and find it all.

Trump hasn't captured the Strait of Hormuz in any territorial sense—it's international waters, not land to occupy. He's said the US will protect shipping there & is weighing taking control to keep it open amid the Iran conflict. Iran borders the north shore, so they can still attempt mines/drones from nearby despite US naval ops. Clearing that takes time.

Apple clearly was looking to make a lower cost entry point for MacBooks. But they majorly fucked up the branding… should have just called the Neo the ‘MacBook’ MacBook [base model] MacBook Air [performance + light] MacBook Pro [max performance]

according to grok, musk owns 43% of spaceX post acquisition of xAI no wonder he doesn't give a shit about tesla lol this is a major headwind for tesla investors - place your bets accordingly for a similar market cap, why would you buy a shitty car company with so many delays that now all major competitors are catching up to autonomy and bots whereas with spacex you get monopoly with an attached AI subsidiary & social media site for free

If Cybertruck starting at $59k can sell out for over a year, imagine what a Cybercab-like vehicle with steering wheel and pedals for $29k would do. Quasi-infinite demand. Production line running at 100% for years. The incremental cost of making a Cybercab (no steering wheel and pedals) would be so much cheaper. Tesla would dominate the auto industry like it’s nothing. Just sayin’.

@TeslaTrip @SawyerMerritt @Starlink Problem is they are limited by how fast they can build the terminals, not the demand. Makes sense just to take the money until they have less demand for the terminals and service, which might be a while.
