The world’s worst highway, the 405. I hate this highway with a visceral hatred and a passion I used to reserve for America’s enemies.
It sucks the life out of you every moment you spend inching up the road toward the Sepulveda Pass on the way to LAX. It’s a slice of humanity you have to miss. I can’t wait to never drive it again!

Delta Airlines has responded to Elon Musk's post below with a statement:
“The assertion in question is not accurate. Incorporating Delta Sync with Starlink would have been permitted under SpaceX's in-flight Wi-Fi agreement."
Delta on why it chose Amazon's LEO: "This agreement gives us the fastest and most cost-effective technology available to better connect the world today, and it deepens our work with a global leader that shares our ambition to build what’s next."
The airline is targeting 2028 to start offering Leo in-flight Wi-Fi on about half of its fleet. The rest of the jets will continue to use Viasat and Hughesnet.

Not exactly. SpaceX requires that there be no annoying “portal” to use Starlink. Starlink WiFi must just work effortlessly every time, as though you were at home. Delta wanted to make it painful, difficult and expensive for their customers. Hard to see how that is a winning strategy.

@eejay That's just PR speak. They could have installed Starlink much sooner than Amazon's LEO. Starlink is already performing well on Airplanes, whereas we don't know how LEO will perform.

I'm loving all the new discounts on the 2025 VW ID Buzz, but with them releasing the 2027 Tourer, it looks like a much better deal. I just hope the battery is actually better. Don't like the "software" package for access being only for a year & NACS should be native at this point. So many shortfalls that didn't have to happen yet again.

Even though my @ouraring says I'm in the 70s, if I just put my brain to it, I can lift an "easy" 6500 pounds on my @tonal, bike for an hour on my @GoZwift trainer, then hit up my @sunlighten infrared sauna and still feel awesome for the day. Onto nutrition... @gainful

Hydrants ran dry or had critically low pressure. Firefighters even reported this on radio traffic. Roughly 20% of hydrants in use lost supply
