WJCF supported the strengthening of Medical Oxygen across the state through Supportive Supervision and on-site visits by the Divisional Coordinator.

Since Jul 2024 CKD / Diabetic Nephropathy screening has been ongoing at CHC Pakahnjure under the NCD, Continuum Of Care Project of WHO/NHSRC and MoHFW, with the help of the state NCD Cell. Out of 413 patients screened, 123 diabetic patients were having CKD based on lab reports.

WHO supported organizing a camp at CH Pakhanjure on 26 Nov to confirm CKD patients and initiation of management with the help of AIIMS Raipur. 82 patients visited including a few with CKD from unknown origin. 3 patients were referred to AIIMS for further treatment.

Stakeholders like veterinary, fisheries, food and drug administration, environment, forest and climate change, agriculture, urban development, academia (AIIMS Raipur, Govt Medical Colleges, Agriculture University, ICAR NIBSM), and development partners attended the workshop.

Jhpiego supported the State Govt for a two-day sensitization workshop on developing the CG State Action Plan for the containment of AMR along with NCDC. Apart from Health, other departments and stakeholders and departments were also present.

NCD Team from WHO CG handed over a Fundus camera set to improve Diabetic Retinopathy screening in district Kanker. CMHO, DPM, DPC NCD, and DH Ophthalmologists were present on the occasion.

Jhpiego / Saksham supported the Maternal Health Division for MDSR Training at Durg Division for 80 participants on 17 October 2024. A total of 430 participants across 5 divisions have been trained for Maternal Death and Surveillance Response till date.

UNICEF supported the sensitization of 300+ traditional healers of the Bilaspur region at Pali (Korba). The emphasis was on extended support of traditional healers for effective service delivery, especially in hard-to-reach areas.

Jhpiego / NISHTHA supported the State IDSP Cell for 3 batches of one-day training on IDSP & IHIP from 16-18 October 2024. Director SIHFW hosted the training which was attended by DSOs / MOs / epidemiologists, data managers, and data entry operators (IDSP) from all 33 districts.
