An investment in health infrastructure is central to the full realization of Universal Health Coverage (UHC).
The newly completed Burnt Forest Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) in Uasin Gishu County is a clear demonstration of this commitment.
Fully operational, the institution welcomed its pioneer class in March 2025, enrolling 29 students in three critical certificate programmes focused on Orthopedic, Trauma Medicine and Emergency Medical Technology.
With a growing demand for specialized medical services, Burnt Forest KMTC will play a pivotal role in addressing the human resource gaps in Kenya's healthcare system and achieve its mandate of teaching and learning.
The focus on orthopedic and trauma medicine training highlights the evolving needs of communities affected by road accidents, occupational injuries and rural trauma cases, especially in the Rift Valley region. With opportunities of infrastructure they are yet to introduce other key course like nursing, clinical medicine, pharmacy and other programs offer at kmt
Through decentralized training and creating opportunities closer to home, the college strengthens the local health workforce pipeline and aligns with the government's broader goal under the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA), ensuring that no region is left behind in accessing quality healthcare services and professional development.

We appreciate the crucial contribution of Kenyans who live and work abroad in the transformation of our country. Through the State Department of Diaspora Affairs, we have taken deliberate steps to formulate policies that help harness their immense competencies, skills and resources in national development.
We particularly recognise remittances from the diaspora and the role they play in family and community support, investment and in boosting our foreign reserves that currently amount to $10.8 billion, the highest ever.
In the past two years, the remittances have grown from $4 billion (KSh516 billion) to $4.95 billion (KSh638 billion) last year.
Hosted representatives of the Kenyan Diaspora from 27 countries, State House Nairobi. Also at the meeting was Diaspora Affairs Principal Secretary Roseline Njogu.

We urge prosecutory agencies across the globe to develop regional and international mechanisms to effectively address complex emerging threats collaboratively.
The use of complex criminal tactics, such as sophisticated encrypted social media platforms and cryptocurrency to finance transnational organised crime, makes it complicated for any single agency or country to confront these ever-evolving risks in isolation.
We must also leverage technology to enhance the efficiency and delivery of justice through the criminal justice system.

We cannot transform Kenya when we make decisions that are merely convenient.
Kenya can only be changed when we make difficult but right decisions, tough choices that speak to the destiny of our people.
We must, therefore, build synergy with all leaders, and marshal resources for investments that will stimulate the growth of our economy.
At State House, Nairobi, we engaged grassroots leaders from Machakos, Makueni and Kitui counties; we resolved to expedite development projects in the region.
