What is Uganda's Army Chief Demands From Turkey?
Uganda’s Chief of Defence Forces, General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, has triggered a diplomatic storm after demanding $1 billion and 'the most beautiful woman in Turkey' as his wife, giving Ankara a 30-day ultimatum to comply or face the closure of its embassy in Kampala.
The general framed his billion-dollar demand as a 'security dividend' as compensation for Uganda's nearly two-decade military deployment in Somalia, where Ugandan troops have fought and died battling Al-Shabaab terrorists, while Turkey quietly built ports, airports, hospitals, and billion-dollar infrastructure across the country.

I’m a Telugu journalist based out of Hyderabad and I’m writing this on behalf of EVERY SOUTH INDIAN STATE.
India needs to pay URGENT attention !!
This is not delimitation. This is political punishment.
Punishment for controlling population.
Punishment for investing in education.
Punishment for doing exactly what the nation asked us to do.
For decades, South Indian states acted responsibly , built human capital, strengthened public systems, and contributed disproportionately to India’s economy.
And now, the reward?
Fewer voices in Parliament.
Let that sink in.
States that governed better are being pushed to the margins, while political power shifts purely on population numbers.
This is not federalism. This is a structural imbalance in the making.
Is India still a Union of States or are we heading toward permanent dominance by a few, at the cost of others?
Representation cannot come at the cost of balance.
Democracy cannot mean silencing those who performed better.
If delimitation happens without safeguards, it won’t just redraw constituencies , it will redraw the idea of India itself.
SOUTH INDIA IS NOT ASKING FOR PRIVELEGE.
It is asking for fairness.

🇮🇷🇮🇳 Iran’s ambassador to India says “good talks” are underway to keep Indian ships moving through Hormuz.
He calls Indians “reliable partners” during the tensions.
As others debate blockades, Tehran opens the door to New Delhi.

🇺🇸🇮🇷 It's official: the U.S. blockade of Iran is underway with 15+ warships in position around the Strait of Hormuz. Trump: "Any Iranian who fires at us, or at peaceful vessels, will be BLOWN TO HELL!" That's more than enough to completely shut down the Strait of Hormuz. Source: WSJ, @clashreport

India stands as a country that has spent decades confronting extremism with a structured, disciplined approach rooted in security, intelligence, and national resilience. Its experience is lived and continuously tested. From counterterror legislation to advanced surveillance and intelligence coordination, India has built systems designed to detect, disrupt, and dismantle extremist networks before they expand. Movements linked to political Islamism, including those influenced by Muslim Brotherhood–style ideology, are closely monitored where they intersect with radicalization, funding flows, or transnational coordination. The Indian state treats ideology as a serious driver of mobilization and acts early to contain it.
Kashmir has been one of the most visible fronts in this fight. India faced repeated terrorist attacks, including major bombings targeting civilians, security forces, and infrastructure. These attacks aimed to destabilize society and project weakness. India absorbed the pressure and responded with deeper intelligence integration, more precise counterinsurgency operations, expanded surveillance, and stronger financial tracking of terrorist networks. Each attack strengthened institutional readiness. Each wave of violence was met with a more prepared and coordinated response. Over time, this evolved into a long-term security doctrine rather than a temporary reaction.
India’s position as a nuclear power adds a critical layer of strength. Nuclear capability brings deterrence, strategic weight, and global relevance. It reinforces a defense posture that combines conventional military strength with advanced missile systems and credible deterrence. This signals that India operates with long-term strategic depth and that escalation carries serious consequences. Its armed forces rank among the largest in the world, supported by a growing domestic defense industry and increasing technological capability.
Resilience defines the Indian trajectory. A nation of immense diversity across religion, language, and culture, held together under a unified national framework. Extremist violence has repeatedly attempted to fracture that unity. India responded by reinforcing cohesion, maintaining institutional stability, and sustaining economic growth. Civil life continued, state structures held firm, and national identity remained intact.
India today represents a model of endurance under sustained pressure. It faced terrorism directly, adapted continuously, and emerged more structured, more capable, and more assertive on the global stage.
