It's been really fuckin weird to lose my mind completely during the COVID lockdowns. I knew how to screen for things like mania & objective delusions, but your whole framework for measuring quality, delivery & process going haywire: that I didn't know to be ready for. I do now.

Any time people propose shadowy cabals of supra-governmental organisations controlling and steering society from behind the scenes for their own nefarious ends, I just think how hard it is to get *any* group of people to coordinate on even simple tasks.

@wrong_shon yup. i prototyped an attempt to put the UN CCC's carbon credits program on blockchains using NFT in summer 2020. my technical findings were "this is a very terrible idea in every sense." they offered me program manager role on the project they decided to roll out anyways 😭😭😭

genuinely many NFT/ blockchain advocates don’t even understand blockchain tech itself, let alone the social context, other industries, etc.

just remembered the idea that NFTs would store video game assets that move between different video games and it’s just a really funny idea because of all the layers it doesn’t make sense on

Instead of staring at the price, go do something cool. Like poke around Coldcard HSM mode and Blockstream Satellite API for making a Bitcoin deadman's switch that's remotely triggered via geosync satellite.

Hopefully this is the end of people predicting the price of Bitcoin. There isn’t a single person on the planet who can do it. Stop listening to them. Understand the fundamentals and how networks grow over time. That’s all that matters.

i feel like “deep dive” is an overused term, often describing dives which aren’t that deep. not to complain.
