I had been living in London for 7 years of my life.
I loved it. The architecture, the incredible people, the food. Everything was so beautiful.
I’ve had to make a tough decision, though. I can’t live there anymore.
It’s not the city I moved to years ago. The beautiful vibes have been replaced with an air of criminality and danger in so many parts.
Sure, there are nice neighborhoods… but you need six or seven roommates to afford them.
As much as I hate to say it, it’s not safe for a girl like me to live there any longer.
I’m saying goodbye to the city I once called home. On to a new chapter.

I’ve seen so many armchair critics attacking these police officers today.
I say fair play to these police. For all they knew, the guy could have been wearing explosives.
He (allegedly) tried to murder multiple people. It’s not the time for kid gloves.

The suspect refused to show his hands, was violent and continued to pose a clear threat. Yeah no, sorry, MPs are often cooped up in Parliament for 15 hours a day, they will have a drink with journalists or colleagues and will still be discussing politics -their job, as Hannah says. I don’t like the blanket demonisation of MPs and Hannah should know better after she had already been accused of not taking the job seriously because she took part in that dancing event in Portcullis house. It was unfair to call her unserious about that then and it is unfair of her to now suggest that MPs having a drink in between votes which take up all night is by default bad.

I’m just back to London after a weekend away with my family. A busy week ahead, so now is the perfect time to go and do the big weekly shop. Thanks to politicians not understanding how family life actually works I now have precisely 20 minutes before the shop shuts. It’s not going to happen.
