"Growing and changing"??? Luke Skywalker regressed back into a panicky kid who was scared that his nephew had a bad dream. The lessons he had learnt in the OT were erased and any bravery was removed. War heroes that know the reality of war don't sit back and let their family members die because they don't like war.

What’s extremely weird about the sequel trilogy is they didn’t plan it out.
This is the biggest trilogy of all time by the biggest entertainment corpo that has ever existed and they couldn’t bother to write all three movies together.

There's something uniquely and almost spiritually bad about The Last Jedi, you'll commonly hear people say "I watched it and realized I was done with Star Wars forever" as if it the film reached into the viewer's soul and snuffed out a last flicker of childlike wonder

Nielsen just published the most-streamed Star Wars content of 2025.
A New Hope. Phantom Menace. Rogue One. Top three.
Not one sequel trilogy film in the top ten.
Gen Z watches The Clone Wars. Millennials watch Andor. Everyone is watching the Lucas era.
Now people are reporting Lucasfilm is internally discussing branching the sequel trilogy off into its own continuity using the World Between Worlds. Effectively decanonizing it without calling it a reboot.
Disney already did the quiet version of this. On April 29 they reset half of Galaxy's Edge from sequel era to original trilogy era and stripped every reference to the First Order from Oga's Cantina.
A focus group of teens asked about Star Wars gave this response: "I like the old stuff, but the new stuff… nah."
Disney spent $4 billion on Lucasfilm to build a new generation of Star Wars fans around Rey and Kylo Ren. The streaming data, the park decisions, and the focus groups all say the same thing.
It didn't work. Should this be decanoninzed?

Which part is the good movie? The ridiculous slow space chase? The trip to the casino planet that was a waste of time. The main villain dying before doing anything? The jedi training that had no training? The final battle where all the good guys stood outside to get killed and flew ships that never fired a shot? The hero dying to stall the bad guys for 90 seconds? Where is this "Good movie" hiding?
