@jondelarroz Yup. The movie was quite enjoyable for my wife and I. But I completely get the toxic culture around the movie because of Warner and Milly running their mouthes off.

Warner Bros. executives are doing the thing where they intentionally provoked fans, then go "why are the fans like this" over the backlash of Supergirl. When you attack Christians, when you try to push some LGBTQ nonsense that isn't even in the film, it drives families away. It's that simple. No one wants to take their daughter to that. That's why this movie's failing, and it didn't have to.

@RatedRKO_TV Yup. Looks more and more that the toxic atmosphere around the movie was more the problem. The makers and actress didn’t do themselves any favors. The movie was good.

I saw the new Supergirl movie tonight and I have no idea what all the negative press is about. I'm not saying it's a cinematic masterpiece, but it's copping so much undeserved criticism on here. Totally looking forward to seeing more of her in the next Superman.

its simple i do not have super hero fatigue. I bought spider man brand new day presale tickets the day they went on sale. I went to see Superman the day it was released i lost all interest in supergirl when she said cringe woke shit about how it wasnt for white christian dads and shes a queer icon im not mad at the film, im happy for the queers who want to see it. I just dont, thats all.

The writer for Supergirl literally only had a short film in her resume, she was hired cause of nepotism and her gender. A clear example of DEI hiring ruining the quality of a product

Ohio Republican here. Mike DeWine and John Kasich do not speak for us. TPS was always intended to be TEMPORARY. The earthquake in Haiti was 16 years ago. Time to send them home and put Ohioans first.

Saw #supergirl today. What a couple of hours of fun. Millie was awesome! Popcorn was eaten & that's another fun trip to the movies for me. I thought the film.was a treat! Go see it! I had a great afternoon.

Supergirl Movie Review I honestly don’t get all the hate this movie is getting. I went in hoping for a fun superhero movie and that’s exactly what I got. The action was awesome, the fight scenes were a lot of fun, and I was surprised by how much I enjoyed it. Milly Alcock absolutely crushed it. As far as I’m concerned, she’s Supergirl now. I can’t wait to see her in the next one. Was it perfect? No. But I had a great time, and that’s all I really wanted. Popcorn Score: 🍿🍿🍿🍿 (4/5) What did you think? On Friday I got to see #Supergirl! Starting with the bad, as an adaptation of Woman of Tomorrow the comic, sadly it's 3/10. That being said as a movie its a solid 7/10! It's a good time, if you liked Superman(2025), if you like super heroes go watch this movie. The hate is bs!

@Bigmancomics The movie itself was not remotely woke and was good. Just saw it with wife. But, can completely see your point on this. Lots of bullshit drama around something entertaining.

Insults patriotic people, Christians, men, and families. Movie fails. Acts confused. The problem with Hollywood leftists is there such narcissistic egomaniacs they can never entertain the fact that they are wrong. That’s why they say over and over and over again if you disagree with them, you must be some sort of bigot. They can’t fathom being wrong about anything. And that arrogance/ narcissism is just a cope for extremely low self-esteem. Until they examine the very real possibility that what they’re making is not good, and course correct , this will continue to happen. Hopefully David Ellis and @ParamountPics clean house from top to bottom over there. Their heuristic should be if you are focused on Wokeness over artistic quality great and storytelling, you are out of here.

It's gonna make $200m or so, if that. It's definitely not perfect but its not THIS bad - deserves a LOT better. A film of this quality should be making $300m - $325m in my view. Variety has destroyed this movie.

After some of the reviews I’d seen for Supergirl, I was expecting it to be one of the worst comic book movies ever made. Well, I just didn’t see it that way. I think Supergirl’s character is well written, and I was interested in seeing her character grow throughout the movie. She’s easily the best thing about it. My criticisms would be that the action can be a little messy. The girl that tags along with Supergirl was okay, if a little stage schooly. The main villain was very generic, but he did enough bad things for you to root for the good guys. Lobo was cool but he really didn’t get to do much except fighting. The actual plot is a serviceable revenge and rescue plot. It all moves along at a fairly nice pace, and I wasn’t bored. It definitely could have been a lot better, but it’s worth watching if you’re looking for a superhero film.  Milly Alcock will probably be in Man of Tomorrow and I look forward to it.  3 out of 5
