I am 0-1 on rules questions this week, but doesn’t Cam have to reset his stance once his caddie stands on the line? I believe a player cannot receive assistance from his caddie on line? Where are my rules experts @NoLayingUp @TheMasters
English

@TradeCNBC @NoLayingUp @TheMasters A few things here. 1. They stopped taking call ins from fans years ago and rightly so. 2. It doesn’t matter if they show live shots or not, most rules issues in stroke play can be resolved before a player signs their card.
English

Keep this up & they won’t show any live shots anymore. After some rules dork called in about 7-8 years ago in the tournament just before the Masters (maybe even TPC) about someone not replacing the ball to the same exact spot, I noticed the Masters stopped showing players replacing their ball.
English

@cwithington22 @NoLayingUp @TheMasters I hate HOAs and I hate stupid nonsensical rules and I especially hate Karens, but I wondered immediately if he’s supposed to be standing right there when Cam takes his swing.
English

@GAPGolfer @NoLayingUp @TheMasters Thanks Chris. Jeff Kiddie sent me the same thing. I couldn’t clearly hear what they were talking about. It felt like the caddie was trying confirm the trajectory of the shot wouldn’t hit the tree, not his swing. If he was asking about his swing, I would have been looking head on

Help Other Than Aiming. If the caddie is helping the player with something specific other than aiming (such as checking to see if the player’s club will hit a nearby tree during the backswing), the caddie may stand in the restricted area
English

@Ivantheboomer @SaU_KRIS @NoLayingUp @TheMasters They review possible rules infractions with players through video at the end of a round and before they sign their scorecard. It has happened for the last 15-20 years. Dustin Johnson at Whistling in 2010 perhaps the most famous.
English

Olazabal is currently leading the Masters, but somehow didn’t get penalized for improving the area of his swing on the 2nd hole. Am I missing something? Thoughts on this @NoLayingUp ? @TheMasters
English

@SaU_KRIS @NoLayingUp @TheMasters Agree. Likely not, but it should have been given a look. That’s all I was trying to say.
English

@BayRsrv @TheBankerTTV @Dr_DewSweep @NoLayingUp @TheMasters You are allowed to use reasonable error to take your stance. You must take the least intrusive path to doing so. You can bend back branches to be able to take your stance. The Olazabal clip is regarding the area of his swing, not his stance.
English

@TheBankerTTV @Dr_DewSweep @cwithington22 @NoLayingUp @TheMasters So if you hit a ball under a short tree or bush, are you saying penalty strokes should be added if any part of your body moves the tree/bush when you set up to hit the shot? I don’t see how that would be any different than this
English

@lugolfista @NoLayingUp @TheMasters 8.1a. You cannot bend or break growing objects from your intended swing area. When you break off leaves, you are likely to get penalized each and every time. Not all the time, but most of the time. Do I think it’s an improvement? No. But I also didn’t write the rules.
English

@cwithington22 @NoLayingUp @TheMasters Interesting situation. Would you really consider that an improvement? I would let a rules official decide but don’t see the true gain.
English

@Dr_DewSweep @NoLayingUp @TheMasters It’s not his lie. It’s the area of his intended swing when he takes a practice backswing and removes leaves from the tree.
English

@GeorgieThomasJr @ogilviej How do you go from proclaiming these are underrated courses to talking about the showers and hangs? Tell me what makes the courses great? And don’t get me wrong, all 3 places are great. Just stay on target.
English

Alright doing this differently, here’s three underrated courses instead of me telling you that a Top 5 is perfectly rated…
West: Bel Air CC - maybe one of the best hangs in golf
South: Austin Golf Club - ultimate purist paradise
East: Scranton CC - best showers in golf, criminally underrated, can still smoke inside the locker room

@thegreenzamboni @MollieeWalkerr We thank Bread for his time and wish him well. I’m fine with younger players hopefully picking up his minutes and touching the puck on the PP. It’s time to move on. The deal is done. More to come this summer.
English

@cwithington22 @MollieeWalkerr I think the GM could have done more. They made that deal weeks before the deadline. Why not play the ‘game’, scratch him and tell him your not trading him and maybe LA’s offer comes up or he decides he’s willing to go somewhere else rather than sit out on a walk year.
English

#NYR did not move Vincent Trocheck before the deadline. Team didn’t want to make a trade just for the sake of making a trade. Price point they set wasn’t met.
To the org, this was always a possibility.
English

@thegreenzamboni @MollieeWalkerr Whenever a GM offers a full NMC as a way of signing a top free agent, this is the part you have to live with. You won’t control the ending. We got 5 great years of Bread and a few sniffs at a Cup final. It was a good run. We didn’t get screwed. We got what we paid for.
English

@thegreenzamboni @MollieeWalkerr I am not banging the drum and saying our GM is doing all the right things. I’m saying I understand the lack of return on Panarin. Keep in mind, Bread could have killed any deal at all and they got nothing. It was never a position of power.
English

@cwithington22 @MollieeWalkerr If that’s the case, explain how when St. Louis said he would only be traded to the NYR we wound up giving up our younger forward and captain plus 2 firsts? It’s not called leverage it’s called an unqualified GM who was a bad free agent signing himself as a player.
English

@thegreenzamboni @MollieeWalkerr Rangers overpaid in 2014 because they thought they could win, and nearly did. It’s what contenders do. If you are selling, you hope you get to deal with someone who is willing to overpay to win now. It’s also not 2014 anymore. The ability to add through FA isn’t what it once was.
English

@thegreenzamboni @MollieeWalkerr It’s called leverage. Rangers didn’t have it with Bread. They did with Trocheck.
English

@MollieeWalkerr They sold low on Panarin and some of deals today make it embarrassingly low. If they were going to keep someone because they didn’t get the value Panarin was the guy to keep. Drury built this team terribly and doesn’t want to admit it needs a full reset now.

🚨🏌🏻♂️⛳️ #DISCUSSION — If you could have any professional golfer's swing, whose would you choose?

English

@KylePorterNS Brooks Koepka. Believes and knows he is the best. Has a swagger. When he is on his game, he is a level above. Doesn’t handle questions from the media very well or have patience for what he perceives to be dumb questions. He gets furious when he isn’t winning.
