@_Erin_Lan Honestly, should could fit on ALOT of teams but I think it would have to be on a team without a ball dominant player like AT. Satou barely was a playmaker last year that was the part of her game that I felt suffered the most.

@ImSoOtto @Myopinion02444 @UnderdogWNBA @AnnieCostabile So is she a guard or is it that she can play guard? 🤣 Y’all gotta stop remixing shit. Rae Burrell played the 2 and defended the better wing player when they shared the floor. Rickea IS NOT a guard and should not be playing one.

Angel Reese partnered with Cash App and Project Backboard to renovate and unveil new community basketball courts at Oakwood Beach on Chicago's South Side. She was backed by partners to build those courts, the idea was hers. What person in the world would not accept sponsorship to get something done. If it wasn’t for her celebrity and social status those things wouldn’t have been done. She spent her time doing it. So yes she did spend her money because time is always money.

Angel Reese built courts in Chicago, in the name of the bum ass organization she was just traded from. Always said she loves the city, loves the team, and even when asked about the LACK of proper facilities in Chicago, Angel replied "I just wanna hoop." It won't be forgotten.

@d22_dee @aonethousands A qualifying offer doesn’t give negotiating rights AT ALL. It just makes the player an RFA and gives the team MATCHING rights. That is a big difference. They don’t control the negotiation, they just get the last say.

The Liberty cored Sabrina who said she 100% wanted to return. The Lynx cored Phee, the Sparks cored KP. But the Aces didn’t feel the need to core Jackie with absolutely nothing to lose from it. But felt the need to secure Kierstan Bell. Ok man.

I never said the Aces had EXCLUSIVE negotiating rights. Bell getting a restricted qualifying offer keeps her an RFA, if she had not then she would be an UFA, which means she can negotiate with other teams AND Vegas can still negotiate with her directly. Thus meaning they still have negotiating rights.

@d22_dee @aonethousands I'm not. You said a qualifying offer like Bell's gives the team negotiating rights. That's not true. It gives her a one year deal and LV the right to match another team's offer. If she gets no offers, she plays out a 1 year deal near the minimum. There are no negotiating rights.

@madkenney If they offered her that, she would decline and should subsequently spit in their faces because that’s exactly what they would be doing to her.

Just an update to this: The Liberty could theoretically just offer Betnijah Laney-Hamilton a vet min of $292,500 (or a 3.96% cap hit), which would give New York a lot of financial flexibility. I would estimate BLH's value even coming off injury to be in the $500K-$750K range tho
Madeline Kenney@madkenney

@ddubxdo @raya4 Double checked this with @herhoopstats. Under old CBA, players considered "suspended-contract expired" are essentially reserved FA but don't need qualifying offer. So like Betnijah Laney-Hamilton, she doesn't need a QO but she has to sign with NYL unless they agree to move.

@d22_dee @aonethousands That's a CORE designation. Submitting a qualifying offer is a completely different thing. A qualifying offer simply retains matching rights. They are free to go negotiate and get an offer from another team. A core designation does NOT.

@bee_typical @_ItsKiaBITCH I’m writing factual information about WNBA players based on things that have actually been said in media, interviews and by the actual people in the organization.

@d22_dee I clearly don’t give a rat’s a$$. It’s just my opinion. If you think there’s a world Carleton should make as much as or more than MVPs Wilson/Stewie/Nneka/JJ, that’s your business. But if the WNBA wants to be considered professional like the men’s leagues, that shouldn’t happen.

@d22_dee There is no planet those two players don’t take the one year supermax deal. Maybe they take slightly less for a longer term (2 or 3 years) deal than a one year supermax but they’ll still be million dollar per year minimum players and that’s just laughable.

@alexaphilippou Some of the players on that list getting $1.4 million guaranteed is just beyond nuts. The player’s association really worked that hard just so Magbegor and Carleton could be the ones getting that amount? Really? This is why this league is considered so unserious.
