@AwestruckVox Mario Galaxy specifically had a great story. They named the movie after a game where Mario meets a space witch who raises baby stars and they witnesses the death and rebirth of the universe together. If they do not at least try to tell a good story in this movie it's a failure.

if the RPGs can have solid stories, then we have proof that the movies are capable of delivering a competent plot while catering to the fans. even as a kids movie, the storytelling shouldn't be restricted just because they couldn't bother to challenge the writing

I think 99% of the problems from Star Fox Zero come down to not interpreting it as a first person game, which it is First clip is the TV view, second clip is the gamepad. The shooting doesn't make much sense in third person because it's meant for spacial aid rather than aiming
