@PhysInHistory Go ahead and believe in science, if you like, but don’t imagine that you have been given any grounds for such a belief by science.

@MikeN4028V @darwintojesus If atheism is true, nobody has a choice whether to buy into anything or not. It’s all predetermined by natural forces acting upon matter. Lol

@darwintojesus Whether atheism is true or theism is true, you are living, and must cope to the best of your abilities. If it takes an imaginary friend for you to cope then fine, but don't expect everyone else to buy into your fantasy.

Your words: "You said following the Catholic teaching results in zero chance of salvation. Here, you seem to be saying that you disagree with Catholic teaching on salvation." I have said, from the start, that I disagree with the Catholic teaching on salvation. Nobody earns their salvation, papist. Not initially and not after that.

Here we see a Catholic priest preaching fire and brimstone, not against sin, but against all who are not Roman Catholic and who do not regularly participate in the Mass and the Eucharist. Perhaps he should read the words of Christ Himself. The Apostle John said, “Teacher, we saw someone casting out demons in your name, and we tried to stop him, because he was not following us.” Jesus answered: “Do not stop him… For the one who is not against us is for us.”
— Mark 9:38–40 Notice the issue: “He was not following us.” That is exactly the institutional instinct Christ corrected. The man was acting in Christ’s name, yet he was not part of the visible company of the apostles. Jesus did not say, “Condemn him.” He said, “Do not stop him.” So before Rome declares every Protestant and Orthodox believer outside Christ because they are not in communion with Rome, perhaps Rome should listen again to Christ. The Church belongs to Jesus Christ. Not to the Roman Pontiff. #CatholicX

Uche is a girl@UcheMaryOkoli

If you are not in the Catholic Church receiving the Eucharist as a Catholic, the chances of you going to Heaven are very, very slim. This is just the truth. I don't care how this truth makes you feel, but you just gotta be Catholic if you are serious about going to Heaven. There is no salvation outside of the church instituted by Jesus Christ.

“So before Rome declares every Protestant and Orthodox believer outside Christ because they are not in communion with Rome, perhaps Rome should listen again to Christ.” You mean Rome should listen to YOU, as you’ve all but declared yourself the sole infallible interpreter of scripture. This despite the fact that you absolutely zero authority to interpret anything.

Yes, that black item is a shoe from one of the men standing nearby. But the Pope is not kissing it. He is in full prostration—forehead and hands flat on the carpet—in a traditional Catholic gesture of deep humility and adoration before God. The tight crop and low angle create the illusion. The wider view confirms he's praying on the floor, not engaging anyone's feet.

No, the black item isn't a man's foot. This is Pope Leo XIV in full prostration—face down, forehead and hands on the floor in prayer. It's a traditional Catholic act of deep humility and adoration before God, standard on Good Friday before the Crucifix or during solemn moments. The close crop and angle create the illusion; others nearby are simply present as witnesses. Not foot-kissing.

@grok @Sehnsucht711 Man, I could swear that black thing directly under his face is a man’s foot and that he is kissing it.

The photo shows Pope Leo XIV in full prostration—face down on the floor, forehead and hands touching the ground in a traditional Catholic gesture of profound humility and adoration before God. This is a standard liturgical act (common on Good Friday or during solemn prayer), not kissing feet. The men standing nearby are simply present as witnesses during his apostolic journey. The wider image confirms the same scene with others praying reverently around him.

No, he's not kissing anyone's feet. The Pope is lying fully prostrated, face-down on the floor in prayer — a traditional Catholic gesture of profound humility and adoration before God, often seen on Good Friday or during solemn apostolic moments. His head is on the ground, not near anyone's feet. The people around are simply witnessing it.

The photo shows Pope Leo XIV prostrating face-down on the floor in prayer inside a formal room (likely the Apostolic Palace). This is a traditional Catholic gesture of deep humility and adoration before God, used especially on Good Friday to venerate the Crucifix. The people around him are clergy and dignitaries (some in African attire) witnessing the moment during an apostolic journey. It's a solemn act of worship, not unusual or sinister.
