@GTAVI_Countdown Expectations for gta6 are way too high. Rockstar is a great studio, but when you expect perfection, when you get something close...its just what you expected and not anything more.

When Digital Foundry eventually drop the performance video for GTA 6. It’s going to be one of the most watched gaming videos on YouTube by far. That Crimson Desert performance video stacked up views very quickly. GTA 6 will be on a whole different level.

Digital Foundry had no idea the level of expectation for Crimson Desert was that high: "The level of expectation and excitement for the game is something I haven't seen for a long, long time. Last week we put out 3 really good Resident Evil Requiem videos, all of which did really, really well for us. The very next day, Alex put out his video on Crimson Desert and in terms of view counts and excitement level, it was basically like a 2x multiplier on the best of what we'd done with RE Requiem. I knew it was going to be hot, right? But I had no idea the level of expectation for this game was that high." youtube.com/watch?v=ddiqHS…

@sw_holocron Everybody is a critic (and a cruel one at that). 99% of the people on here couldn't write a limerick let alone a compelling show. The fact it didnt get a second season is more a comment on the audience closed mindedness than it is the writing.

@FoxNews Trump likes to drop verbal bombs on the table and watch people react: Both the doomsdayers and the acolytes. He knows very well this guy hasn't started the job or even been approved yet. A sad and dangerous trait in a national leader.

@thehill It's shocking that commenters believe its okay to say such horrible things to anyone. If we keep going like this, we're done as a country. MTG is a polarizing figure. People have said, "fugly traitor broad", "GFY MTG", "horse face", "dumb bitch". Some people have no integrity.

@Qwik People responding "[this or that] is a waste of money, you just need a [person's preferred product] cause its the best deal." Every gamer has their own needs and circumstances. Any of these will go away if they become non-profitable. If you dont like $90 games, stop buying them.

@ACFirstCiv Hey, invictus, jade, then remastered in that order. As I'm a story guy I like new works rather than remakes and remasters. You really dont see authors rewriting stories already released. But I admit...books aren't "playable" so be it.

@0xSTILL @RinoTheBouncer The problem is a deep turn based battle engine is so different then a real time battle engine and both are huge undertakings from a programming perspective for a single game and try and get both right. It's hard enough to get one right in a game, let alone both. The criticism!

@Teslaconomics I think we will go back to a time when every wealthy person has their own personal army of robots and the land wars for low level resources increase. Meanwhile the serfs, who no longer have a job or can earn a living, are dependent on the alms of the local lord.

I think I get what Elon means when he says Tesla Optimus will end poverty. It’s all about ending artificial scarcity. For all of history, access determined everything. If you were wealthy, you had the best doctors, tutors, skilled labor, more time, and opportunity. If you were poor, you didn’t and one bad event could put you into lifelong trouble or debt. Optimus is going to change this. When a Tesla Bot can do things that once required years of training and massive cost like surgery, caregiving, construction, education, or daily labor, it levels the playing field by raising access. Everyone deserves access to the tools needed to live with proper healthcare, safety, mobility, productivity, and time. I’m not saying life should be fair, it never will be imo, but I’m saying Optimus will give everyone a fair chance, a fair opportunity at things that they could never have. Optimus is going to give every human the leverage that only the wealthy used to have. For example, procedures like brain surgery can literally bankrupt families for life, but in the future, they won’t have to. There won’t be much consideration to $ cost in the future, it will be more about whether we want it or whether it’s the right thing to do. And there are countless other examples we can easily think of. This product is going to cost $20-$30K in the long run. Everyone will be able to buy one. Everyone will have access to the skills Optimus can do. This is going to be the best product to ever be created. This is what’s going to make Tesla a $10T+ company. This is how poverty actually ends. Yeah… I get it now.

@PirateEagleFang @sfiscience @richgel999 Those concepts are just emotional coping mechanisms manifested by one's own brain causing you to feel this way. It took human beings to turn it into something mystical.

The simulation hypothesis — the idea that our universe might be an artificial construct running on some advanced alien computer — has long captured the public imagination. Yet most arguments rely on intuition rather than clear definitions, and few have formally defined what “simulation” even means. A new paper by SFI Professor David Wolpert aims to change that — introducing the first mathematically precise framework for what it would mean for one universe to simulate another — and shows that several longstanding claims about simulations break down once the concept is defined rigorously. His results suggest a far stranger landscape than previous arguments suggest, including the possibility that a universe capable of simulating another could itself be perfectly reproduced inside that very simulation. santafe.edu/news-center/ne…

Obsidian will have significant updates for Avowed, The Outer Worlds 2 and Grounded 2 in 2026. • Avowed: Anniversary Update in development, includes New Game Plus, Photo Mode, a new Quarterstaff weapon, additional Character Presets, and much more, including some surprises. • The Outer Worlds 2: expansions in development, continual improvements, from new features to quality-of-life improvements. • Grounded 2: community garden added to the park very early in the year in Winter Update, followed by a mid-sized update in the Spring, and then a massive update coming in Summer. #avowed" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">news.xbox.com/en-us/2025/12/…

@AUTOMATON_ENG All I'm saying is that if Atlus says they know and they still release Metaphor Definitive as its own full game without giving owners of the OG game the option to upgrade via cheaper DLC, I'll just stop buying Atlus games altogether. Its such a terrible practice.

Kristen Bell, Brian Cox, and other actors who voiced an audiobook about the life of Jesus were blindsided to learn it’s becoming a 52-episode Fox News podcast for the holidays. Kristen Bell, who played Mary Magdalene, had no knowledge of the deal. Brian Cox — the audiobook’s “voice of God” — was also unaware. Read more here: variety.com/2025/digital/n…

@pjmdolI Whoever wrote this is trying to start problems. It depends on the practical implementation. In most computer languages mult. and div are given equal precedence so it is based on which comes first, left to right. In math class people are taught PEMDAS which gives mult. precedence.
