@PulpLibrarian My first RPG as game master! It took a lot of liberties with the TV show, but was still great fun. Think I owned every single supplement!

The Doctor Who Role Playing Game from FASA (1985). You don't actually get to play the Doctor, but can be a companion or an apprentice Time Lord. Despite the release date it still features a lot of Tom Baker artwork!

@EliteDangerous Every time you try to operate one of these weird black controls which are labelled in black on a black background, a small black light lights up black to let you know you’ve done it!

There's something about this that's so black, it's like how much more black could this be? And the answer is none. None more black! Midnight Gloss Black Paint Jobs are now available. fron.dev/f56f

@ScarredForLife2 John Scott Martin finally getting a chance to do the Dalek voice as well as move the prop! And I also choked down plenty of disgusting cardboard bricks to get these.

SECRET MESSAGE FROM TIME LORDS! In 1977, Weetabix began one of the greatest cereal giveaways ever in honour of Scarred For Life gateway drug Doctor Who. Beautiful stand-up character cards! Game boards! Bring back this sort of thing!

@RichardHarris73 I vividly remember the shock of the new titles and theme tune blasting out from my telly! (And buying the 7” record of the theme tune a few weeks later!)

@RealPaulPutner This is probably my favourite prog of all time. My copy was left in a car back seat in the blazing sun for a week, and ended up looking yellowed and eerie, perfect for Judge Death!

@IFingz @ScarredForLife2 I have memories of seeing this as a kid around 1982. Was it called the Pandemonium? Some kind of revolving thing in a dark chamber with demons and screams, which genuinely scared the crap out of me. And London Dungeon's musty stench clung to us for ages.

Ditto The London Dungeon. It was way, way more gory when I first visited 1984. The centre-piece was a dark giant cavern 'Hieronymus Bosch' style recreation of hell. Inclusive of screams of torment. Humans impaled. Creepy minions. Flickering light. Sadly The London Dungeon is tame today to what it was. Last time I was there in few years back they were preparing for that most traditional of English customs. Halloween!

In the 1970s, Blackpool's Louis Tussaud's Waxworks had a Chamber of Horrors, which included the Moors Murderers, a scalping scene, a torture chamber, and this horrific traffic accident... Y'know, for kids.

@cult_edge It's a little-known fact that Geoff Love produced these fantastic original space tunes first, and others were inspired by his music and designs to make TV shows and movies around them. So Disco Liberator is actually MORE canon.

@WorldsofDrWho I remember playing this a few times in the early 80s. Enjoyable, esp for Who fans, but very fiddly with loads of tiny counters that kept getting lost in the shag-pile carpet!

@cult_edge @Blakes7Diary I remember that Top of the Pops in 1979 when Federation strode in halfway through Tubeway Army's performance, shot Gary Numan in cold blood, then performed the title track of their 'Seek-Locate-Destroy' LP over his corpse. Couldn't believe it!

Working on the #Blakes7 Production Diary Series B and @Blakes7Diary is sending me jaw dropping imagery. This stunning pic of Carnell & Servalan from 'Weapon' was crying out to be the cover of a synth pop single from 1979. I had to, sorry. I'd TOTALLY be a fan of 'Federation' 😆
