ARC raiders 🤝 Marathon
ARC was an instant hit and got my love for multiplayer games back since probably warzone. The maps are so replayable but we do need a new one sooner rather than later.
Marathon is a slow burner but it’s growing on me by the day, I like how the contracts are more rewarding than the quests in arc and the gunplay is awesome. Soundtrack is top tier also.
Both here to stay imo and that’s only a good thing for gamers.
Extraction is where it’s at in 2026.

Marathon is the best gaming experience I've had in years 👏 I thought this would be a fun side game, but it's a masterpiece.
PvP dopamine hits like 2016 Overwatch, 2020 Warzone, or 2025 Marvel Rivals.
World immersion, lore obsession, and absolute binge sessions like Elden Ring.
And we haven't even experienced the true END GAME raids of Cryo Archives (not to mention Ranked Play dropping).
We'll see how things keep playing out. Still some changes to be seen here or there, but right now I am absolutely floored 🔥

@Betrigansmh I agree but I also think free-to-play games flood the markets with negativity. If a game has an entry cost, those buying it already have a positive expectation limiting review bombing. Every free-to-play game has a toxic community

I don’t think live-service fatigue is real when you can see something like Arc Raiders or Marvel Rivals blow up
People DO want single player experiences, but when it comes to live service games they just don’t want half baked games. Why would I play something that feels to unfinished or lacking content when I can download another game that feels more complete and rewarding

Now that Highguard is shutting down, I hope that every game studio and especially Sony will finally understand that live-service fatigue is real and gamers want good single player story driven games. Studios shouldn’t suffer layoffs and closures because the upper management forces them to make everything live-service. The money and budget that was wasted on some live-service game like Concord, Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League and the notorious “AAAA” Skull and Bones would’ve probably equal to 5-6 good single player games. If you take a look at cancelled games for PlayStation 5, most of them were live-service titles. Its no wonder then why this generation of consoles had so few exclusive titles.

Can someone smarter than me explain why a game studio would invest $200M and 4 years of development just to shut the game down after 1 month because low player counts?
Like damn at least try to grow a player base for a few months before pulling the plug lol thats crazy

PlayStation will no longer release its single player games on PC going forward 🎮
Live-service games will still release on PC, but games like ‘Wolverine’ will be PS5 exclusive
