The best part about starting with the original Resident Evil games is witnessing the natural evolution of the series over time. For instance, the FMVs in Resident Evil 3 are a huge step forward from Resident Evil 2. The facial expressions from Jill alone are incredible.

Crimson Desert being a 7/10 open world RPG that was supposed to be an MMO is giving me major Kingdom of Amalur vibes which means I'm probably going to love it

@TNCarly_ That's a great order! I love the full circle thing you're doing. I'm going RE1 > RE2 > RE3 > CVX > RE4 > RE2R > RE3R > RE4R > RE9 I already played REmake last year and I'm not in a rush for RE5 or 6. Lol

I'm excited to eventually get to the OG! I figured it'd be fun to do it like this: RE1R > RE0 > RE2 > RE3 > Code Veronica > RE4 > RE5 > RE6 > RE2R > RE3R > RE4R > RE7 > RE8 > RE9 > RE1 And finish with where it started! It'll take a while but worth it I think 🥹 and 🤣🤣🤣 I'm such a scaredy cat it's crazy. I was so embarrassed I genuinely sat there dumbfounded for a few seconds 🤣

I am FINALLY starting my Resident Evil journey!! For the next ~2-4 weeks, REmake is going to be my Thursday game. This will be the start of my first playthrough for the franchise I'm so excited to experience it. My first is going on right now! 🔗💜

@TNCarly_ Honestly, REmake is more confusing than the original 1996 and I finished the original more recently so I couldn't even tell you. 😭 The fun is what matters though! Your stream clip is hilarious. 😂

@wesleytypes Wesley it's so fun 😭 I haven't done much yet, there's a steep learning curve given I haven't played many games like this or this "old" but it's fun to play and feels pretty good! I just got the armour key, but I think things can be done out of order so that might not mean much!

@wesleytypes @RE_Games @CapcomUSA_ I honestly think i might prefer OG RE3 Nemesis to RE2 despite having greater nostalgia for 2. But both are incredible for their own reasons. Eitherway i have to replay both of these to be sure. It's been a very long time ago.

@wesleytypes @NikTek Fair about what? Being critical of it? I think Monster Hunter was a good example of the audience turning on a game, despite the hype, because of issues.

Crimson Desert reaches 233,441 concurrent Steam Players 1 hour after launch. This is definitely one of the biggest AAA Single-Player releases in 2026, right behind Resident Evil 9: Requiem

I feel like I skipped sharing my thoughts on Resident Evil 2 while I was playing it, but I finished it so quickly it just slipped my mind. I'll write a full review soon, but I can tell you right now that I absolutely loved it. Definitely my favorite in the franchise so far.

CD Projekt Red has confirmed that they will publish an "announced gaming project" in the coming quarters this year. This lines up with rumors that The Witcher 3 is getting a brand new expansion developed by Fool's Theory in September I really think this is happening y'all!
