@dejavucoder I bet you that would be worse for the frontier labs than it would be for cursor. A lot of good data flows back to anthropic, cutting that off would leave them with a bunch of vibe coders using claude code, not hardcore engineers using cursor

1M opus is great in the sense you dont have to face the clueless compacted claude once you reach close to their auto compact limit. can just keep iterating till 150k and comtinue asking stuff/small changes post 200k. though i try to clear post 200k for remotely complex stuff.

you can actually do both right now partially with claude code. for videos, just run ffmpeg to extract frames at whatever interval you want, then claude sees every frame and breaks down what’s happening. for audio/music, pipe it through whisper locally to get a transcript, then claude analyzes lyrics, structure, whatever you need - not the same as native multimodal & with its cons but it gets the job done today

i've worked with terminal bench 2.0 back in october and know most tasks by heart. i'm 100% the top spots on here are all benchmaxxed, i.e. they gave the model hints for every task. to bad submission guidelines don't require full reproducibility but just the results.
