Roman, please consider using a better PSU in your videos. While I understand it’s a 1600W Titanium, enough is enough. It’s time to invest in a native 12VHPWR or 12V-2x6 PSU, then measure the heat temperatures with your thermal imaging camera. That seems to be your biggest issue. On the other hand why did not you say something before when you noticed it making GPU block video?

@aschilling @harukaze5719 yes mine should be an exception and as you said not normal. I'm just worried overall that this is happening in the first place. I never had anything like this with 6/8Pins

@der8auer @harukaze5719 You are right, I designate 3 to 10 A as even, which is actually not really the case. But your 20 A is also extremely high and more worrying.

Where does this uneven distribution is coming from for the GeForce RTX 5090? der8auer did see 20 A on one string ... I did some quick measurements with a Seasonic Prime TX-1600 ATX 3.0 with corresponding cable:

@aschilling @harukaze5719 Well you showed 10A on one Pin with the FE at 530W. If the FE would pull 575W like mine, this could be 11A and thus out of spec as well

@harukaze5719 For the GeForce RTX 5090 FE I already did try a be quiet! Dark Power 13 and a ASUS ROG Thor Platinum II. Same result, very even distribution.

@aschilling Interesting that it's also more uneven for you. 3A on one Pin and 10A on another one. But surely also related to the cable that is used.

@IanCutress I had an engineer tell me that ADL and RPL did not do 4x32bit because of maintaining DDR4 support that does require 2x64bit. And that ARL is the first Intel Desktop to do true 4x32bit. But maybe you know more about it @IanCutress ?

DDR5 uses 32-bit channels. So yes, all 128-bit DDR5 systems are quad channel. This isn't a secret, it's part of the specification. The problem is that 'channel' has colloquially meant 64-bit even though that's not the rule.

This is a weird vendetta. I called Roman out once for posting a review 5-15 min early. He didn't really get why I was pissed, with the eponymous phrase 'y so salty?'. I don't know if he ever did get why I was pissed.

Just to clarify in Roman's video here. Intel's engineers (Ari) specifically stated in Architecture Day (Aug) that AVX512 was fused. I explicitly asked the question if AVX512 would work in any instance, and they said no. youtube.com/watch?v=_qoOqA…

It might be a touch lower (all from memory) but we have sales tax as well here so to actually BUY anything $2=$1
