This is exactly why I say 9070XT is 2 generation behind. 7900XTX VS 9070XT Intel 285K VS 9950X 112 FPS VS 106 No Rt This is still not apple to apple comparison but you get an idea AMD fucked you over.

@facegamefps Which is what majority of people on a budget base their purchases on except for halo products. Most people will have a max cap they can spend, and will buy what they think is best within that budget.

A nice video here from Daniel Owen on exactly this discussion. The 9070 non-XT is quite a bit faster than the 5070 in basically everything, bar path tracing. It all depends on your local market's pricing, but if these two are quite evenly priced then the 9070 gets my recommendation for sure. The main reason why I chose a 5070 over the 9070 is because over here the cheapest 9070 is about 30% more expensive than the cheapest 5070, and at the time I purchased the 5070 the gap was even wider. I got my 5070 for R10500. I was looking at the cheapest models at the time due to cost-savings exercizes I went through. There also seems to be very few models of the 9070 available here, which makes sense, as the 9070 XT is only about $10 more expensive here. So here the 9070 makes no sense. If you have 30% more cash to spend then the 9070 XT over the 5070 is a no brainer. That's why the 5070 vs 9070 and 5070 Ti vs 9070 XT is a lot more complicated than people think. @facegamefps It's doing well without your recommendation. Do you see how irrelevant your bias is?..we can all cherry pick games that have some kind of issues on either hardware. Nvidia aren't perfect that's for sure. They have had many game breaking drivers. Relax

Time for some more #ForzaHorizon6. I still need to tweak the settings though. Native 4K, I’m getting around 80 - 90FPS on ultra but it does suffer from frame dips at times.

@XxViciousxXomg Than you are dipping cause of other problems. Game has 0 dips 5080-5090 and I have not tested 5070 yet

@facegamefps The game has dips on everything just got done testing it on steam decks all the way up to my 5090 system and all have hiccups from time to time some less than others.

@mpr_reviews 5070 is an incredible card for 1440p and a very good card in most games even at 4K. Using DLSS is a no brainer.

I understand why the RTX 5070 got so many negative reviews at launch, but it is a decent performer. I've been using one exclusively for a few months now and I have no issues at 1440p. The only game that runs out of VRAM is Indiana Jones with max PT. If the 5070 launched with 16GB of VRAM / 256 bit bus it wouldve been very well received I believe. I also think its performance improved a bit since launch as at times it was matching a 4070, but those teething issues seem to be resolved. The RX 9070 non-XT should definitely be considered at this performance tier, but it all depends on price. I bought the 5070 as the 9070 was 30% more expensive at the time.

@Blackbird_PC @HardwareUnboxed A 9070XT is a useless card compared to a 5070Ti. Nvidia is just superiour in every conceivable way that isn't rasterization performance and gets close with that too. Most people use some kind of upscaling in modern games, because it actually just looks better. DLSS is superior.

If the 5070 Ti is dead, as @HardwareUnboxed has now claimed multiple times, why would you benchmark it against the 9070 XT? How anyone still trusts these clowns is beyond me.

@facegamefps @Yahfzz I know. Even if we disregard the fact that its a build in bench which is superficial compared to an actual gameplay benchmark, this game was at one point a good 1st test, but now it shows its age and limitations. On the OC forum you can see posts this game's issues.

Windows 10 I had same bench at 408FPS. Moving over to latest Windows 11 lost about 10 FPS. I even did 6.2 4.8 and result is same as 6.1 4.7 8800c36 at 397 FPS… 1080P Keep in mind real benches are actual gameplay and not built in. 14900KF + 5090 Stock+ 8800c36

@Blackbird_PC @HardwareUnboxed It truly is real data unlike what other tech tubers show. 99% of them will never show 0.1% for example which is one of the most important matrics.

@facegamefps @HardwareUnboxed I use CapFrameX for all of my benchmark testing ... it really is the best capture software out there

@Blackbird_PC @HardwareUnboxed Do you use CapFrameX 1.8.5 or MSI overlay? If you use CapframeX 1.8.5 that will pick up any dips where a lot of times MSI will not even blink unless they are bigger stutters. I personaly use CapframeX latest with Stutter % right in the overlay.
