@ray_ervian I'm partial to the grid controls, It actually really reminds me of a turn based dungeon crawler I was working on, so I may be biased. Feels more unique to me.

@VeraBurd97 If you think there's a market for it, go for it, but if you're still trying to get a name out there I'd probably go free or pay what you want

@docsquiddy I'm unsure on exporting images though (other than just screenshotting them). There may be a model for that actually. Alternatively perhaps something like excalidraw could work. I tend to use it for outlining ideas. Maybe less versatile, but smooth and good for collaboration

@docsquiddy Honestly I'd probably use something like foundry vtt, with the module to drag and drop straight from your file browser and add the images as tiles or tokens straight onto the map it might be your best bet. Give everyone all the required permissions and your off to the races

If you were gonna try to design a 3d video game space like Kojima used legos or people used graph paper back in the day, but you wanted to collaborate with people online and it needed to be digital, what would you do? Google drawings? Minecraft? (please no) Something else?

@VeraBurd97 I’m also super sad that I know I won’t be able to afford it until it goes on a steep sale. And even then my PC may not run it.

@thoughtrise When I did it recently, I just had to accept compressing the files I wanted into a zip and waiting while it copied onto my external ssd

@VeraBurd97 @obsdmd Looks like your getting a good understanding of it. Mess around with it more, you'lI find what works for you. I don't use the data view and as I use a lot of tags/connections it becomes unwieldy(see pic) Canvas is the selling point for me now tbh.

@VeraBurd97 @obsdmd The more you mess around with it the more familiar you'll become and you'll be able to refine and personalize your work flow, which is an underappreciated art imo. It's a pretty simplistic tool but versatile, I recommend messing around with it and finding what works for you 4/4

@VeraBurd97 @obsdmd I've gone back and forth a couple times but now I use the canvas for prepping my GURPS / TTRPG games. I layout my notes more visually using the snap grid. And it works well. 3/?
