This may not say much but it's a big step! You're looking at a Lambda powered websocket server based on the Pusher protocol and written in PHP (inspired by Laravel Websockets). Basically wallet-scale websockets ready for any amount of traffic.

@_asummers @SwiftOnSecurity i got a Mac and now I can do any “linux” thing easily (and do the majority of the time). i think i realized Linux is just part of a larger POSIX family that has opinions that i agree with often, but i cant just choose to live by and have the same quality of life.

@diffchecker @SwiftOnSecurity That all works for me out of the box, as of 2010-2011 or so, with even very minimal installs like Arch. More curated releases like Ubuntu should have no problem doing any of that on normal hardware.

It occurs to me that "year of Linux on the desktop" jokes sound like a random insult, instead of something that got posted on Slashdot every year for over a decade and seriously discussed. The joke is the fact there was really light in that tunnel. Vista was a big destabilizer.

@SwiftOnSecurity i kind of assume installing any desktop Linux would still leave you without Wifi or sound or both. hell on my first linux i could not figure out how to install a program, like where’s the exe. those first impressions can be long lasting.

Also, the idea of installing an OS and just having the drivers be built-in was like a quantum science experience. Of course, it was because they have to bundle them in routine releases unlike Windows monolithic editions, and used tool called NDISwrapper to steal Windows drivers.

How your data ends up in the hands of the imperialist surveillance state: it’s naively sold to unrelated parties who resell until it reaches a US intelligence database. vice.com/en/article/jgq…

@blinkx50363563 i know everything about the hacker and twitter always restores my account. no need for me to hack anything, ethical or not.

based on the ads i’m seeing, the guy hacking my account is into some incest hentai, or is perverted enough for the algorithms to bet money on it

as usual the account was hacked within hours but this time i waited before getting back. there’s lots more data now, but i’m trying not to dox. so no names, IPs, addresses yet. just a big hint from what the algorithms are showing this account now. lol.

see, i always opt out of twitters dat collecting and ad personalization features. but even though we all know who the hacker is, i thought i’d leave no room for doubt—so i opted in to all Twitters tracking and ad targeting on this account.

@NehemiahKiv i like styling elements using the css parameters. i don’t like writing css files. so depends on what comes to mind when people think of css.

Honestly I’ve been playing softball so far w/r/t disclosures about diffchecker.com. but after being hacked by the owner 5 or more times now, i’ll tell you what he’s so afraid of me telling everyone: he sells full, complete access to his database of users and code.

It appears the account was hacked again but nothing appears changed at first glance.
