there are so many layers to this roomba story but honestly they have been the worst robot vacuums out there for years now. absolutely cleaned up by the competition while they did nothing.

okay i of course don’t want schizophrenic women to need to check themselves into mental hospitals cause of tv ads but like ive seen the ad now and idk at some point you are kinda saying that ads shouldn’t be allowed to use names in case someone thinks their tv is talking to them

@reckless @marcelolima also lord as someone who has used it a bunch…. FSD drives like a 16 year old that just got their license. Unreliable at best, especially compared to Waymo et al. I never ever use it w family in the car personally for that reason

@SpaceReptile1 @Surtur Can confirm it doesn’t help. Samsung serves their ads from the same URLs that serve core functionality. You block it, the fridge constantly complains about errors instead.

@tehn0mad You can set custom DNS but it doesn’t help. Samsung isn’t dumb; they serve ads from the same domain (samsungcloud.com) which serves core features so you block it, fridge barely works (similar on their tvs)

@internetofshit Can you set custom DNS for it? Use pi-hole DNS filter to weed out ads in home network
