Proposal includes 20k seat NHL arena, 2k seat community hockey rink, 4k seat music hall, movie theater, 750k sq ft of office, parks and public trail space. A hotel as well.

@mbisschop11 @NHLtoAtlanta The NHL is missing Houston (~7.3m pop.), Atlanta (~6.4m), and Phoenix (~5m), three top-10 markets without teams. They'll be coming back.

@NHLtoAtlanta I love looking at pictures 🤣. But this means nothing unless the NHL is serious about coming back to Atlanta which I’m not sure they are.

@FideCounsel @NHLtoAtlanta The same thing is planned for South Forsyth, if Krause wins the NHL franchise. The only thing missing from his proposal is the on-site community rink. I would argue that, if they win the NHL bid and construction begins, leasing that office space won't be a problem.

@NHLtoAtlanta So they want to take the entire mall except for the Von Maur? Seems excessive. Just lop-off the Sears and JC Penny and build the arena. There is no demand for that much office space.
