@RedsInFour I'm trying to understand the data. We're saying that the Reds are hitting the ball hard (barrels) the opposite way (Oppo Air). This is bad because if they pulled it these hard hits would be homers/hits instead of outs? And that this is being done by choice?

On a related note, the #Reds are also #1 in the league (by a significant margin) in Oppo AIR% -- aka oppo flyballs.

Reds lead MLB in barrels that go for outs, with 24. They almost have as many barrels going for outs (24) than barrels going for hits (26) For reference Barrels on the season have a batting average of .662 with a slug of 2.147. It’s almost hard to fathom.

The Reds have optioned Will Benson to Triple-A. They get the ability to add an extra pitcher for today, and Lyon Richardson is active today as an additional player. The Reds were going to have to make a roster move by tomorrow anyway to get back to 26 after the deadline additions were activated this weekend.
