I have a reservation at a @bestwestern in April made through the @AmericanExpress portal with my AMEX Platinum. I just received a text through @WhatsApp, which was my first red flag. Saying I need to confirm my reservation as it was on a temporary hold, another red flag. I called Best Western and was told I was the third call she received today about this. It's a scam and it looks very real. My rule is anytime I get a request from a business, I will to call the business directly with a number from an email I got in the past or their official website. I am curious how they got my reservation information.

Read the fine print; the credits will be difficult for most to use. Basically, a 5% dining card, and rumor has it that if you have a gold card, you'll have to upgrade to the platinum, losing your 3% back on everything. Unfortunately, Robinhood blew this, which could have been something great.

🚨#BREAKING: A nearly 70-year-old North Carolina real-life Karen... Karen Lewis... has been arrested after she was caught on camera meticulously vandalizing a Tesla Cybertruck using a board with nails hammered into it.
She was released on just a $1,000 bond.
Police say they have "no motive" for why the older, white, mask-wearing, 67-year-old woman named Karen, who did not know the man who owned the Cybertruck, would commit this crime.
In fact, in the police report, they say the "offense appears to be a random act..."

Maybe Costco (which I think is a smart company) believes that EV owners need to charge while doing something else. That’s true on road trips, which is why Buc-ee’s and roadside stops make sense. But 100% of my charging within 150 miles of home happens in my garage while I sleep. It’s extremely inexpensive and extremely convenient.

I am sad to see @RobinhoodApp fire and miss on the Robinhood Platinum card. For my spend, I can't see any value in it. It's been about 2 years, and people are still on the list for the Gold card. So, people that can find value in the Platinum card, my guess is you'll be waiting for a while!!!

@cybrtrkguy I have an early VIN, and my truck has been pretty solid after the initial known issues. I hate that Tesla waits until you need to bring in your Cybertruck to have known issues fixed. I rarely need to bring in my Cybertruck for service.

Since my post below, it appears Tesla has issued a ‘Silent Recall’ on early Foundation Series PCS units.
When you take your truck in for service next, they’ll replace the PCS proactively by adding it to your appointment (so I’ve read). This is not recall with the NHTSA.
The PCS gets replaced under warranty, but it’s unclear if out-of-warranty repairs are covered under goodwill.
Cybertruck has been seeing PCS failures at scale recently, so this is good to see.
PS- if your truck is charging at 24/48a at home, make a service appointment ASAP. That means your PCS has already partially failed. If convenient, drive straight to the service center to avoid a tow in case of complete failure.

My guess is most people will struggle to use the credits with all the restrictions. I was super excited and was planning on getting it, but after reading the fine print, it's a hard pass for me. Basically, the Platinum card is a 5% back on dining with some hard-to-use credits. Plus, you need to book through the travel portal, which is only on your phone.
