Watch as House GOP Appropriations Chair David Livingston, under questioning from Democrats this week, says he hopes to make massive cuts to programs for developmentally disabled children (and other vital services that use federal funds). His reason: He expects Trump to cut aid to Arizona by billions. He and Rep. Justin Olson liken it the billions cut from the AZ budget in 2011. That was during the Great Recession! If Trump does this, it’s sabotage by choice not necessity. He has inherited a strong and growing economy that can sustain programs for our most vulnerable.

@rachael_scar @nytopinion So beautifully said. I would add that for us, we get in home care covered by Medicaid for Taryn, but there are so many rules and bureaucratic process requirements, it limits how we can use and it is very difficult to find providers. Count us in to help in this fight!
