I truly do love the sport of soccer. But some of the rules are so confusing and so ridiculous that it bothers me often. To be honest, that’s probably a big reason why American sports fans don’t accept soccer because some rules are so foreign to any American sports fan.

I could care less about the world cup soccer games. The most boring thing that has ever come about.

Should the World Cup broadcasts show each nation's FIFA world soccer ranking, like a college FB/BB game? This England-Croatia game is #4 vs. #11, so a close match Cape Verde-Spain was #67 v. #2 I'm sure FIFA has rules for stuff like this. It'd help instantly convey narrative!

@SkySports England get to play in an air conditioned temperature controlled stadium tonight. Think that helps more than a little more travel hurts

Only Curacao, Austria and Bosnia and Herzegovina have further to travel than England for their group stage games at the World Cup! ✈️

“Three Six Five” speaks when words can’t. The inspiration behind our songwriting on EI8HT is simple: write honestly and connect authentically 🤘 Our album, EI8HT, is out now everywhere 💐 Is “Three Six Five” one of your favorites off the record?

Calf injuries are one of the worst injuries a footballer can get. Messi purposely stepped on his opponent’s calf, and that could have caused a very serious injury or even a leg break. VAR checked it, yet there was no yellow card or red card because he is Messi. 😳 The agenda for Argentina has started again

Morocco on Friday, I’m assuming we are back to a 4-5-1? We need to get a hold of midfield and take control of that. Gunn Hickey Hendry McKenna Robbo McT, Fergie, McGinn, Doak and either McLean or Fletcher Adams up top. Zero pressure for this game #FIFAWorldCup

This World Cup is already a drag. 48 teams is a terrible idea, only benefiting the sponsors, FIFA's pockets, and Scotland. On paper, England v Croatia is probably the most competitive game yet, and that'll be almost a week into the tournament.

Furthermore, I know anyone who is British that is complaining about “hydration breaks” being used for ads is just following a bandwagon trend, because BBC and ITV do not cut to these ad breaks during The World Cup, and continue the regular broadcast.

Nothing says “tinpot” like @theSNP handing out a bank holiday to public sector workers (the private sector can’t afford to virtue signal) because of a football match 2 days ago… Just utterly pathetic.

As we see all the great stadia in USA, Mexico & Canada it makes us realise that Hampden is a slum by comparison It is due to be one of 9 stadia for the EUROS in 2028. If it is not totally upgraded or replaced by then it will be a National Embarrassment Action please @JohnSwinney

🚨 𝗕𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚: Virgil van Dijk speaks out against the hydration breaks! 🗣️ “I have been watching almost every game and I don’t really like the hydration breaks. And for the people watching on television it’s also not great.” “If it’s REALLY HOT, then obviously you need it, but you need to look at it game by game.” “But I think I have said enough already…..”

🚨🇭🇹 “WE DESERVE ANSWERS” — HAITI CAPTAIN JOHNNY PLACIDE QUESTIONS OFFICIATING AFTER SCOTLAND DEFEAT 🗣️ Johnny Placide: “This is not about making excuses. Scotland played their game and got the result, and we respect them for that. But at the same time, we cannot ignore what happened on the pitch.” “There were two moments that, from where we stood, looked like clear penalties. We waited for VAR to intervene, we waited for explanations, but nothing came. As players, we dedicate our lives to this competition, so naturally we want clarity.” “All we are asking for is transparency. If those incidents were not penalties, then tell us why. Show us the reasoning. Let the fans understand the decision-making process. Football is the biggest sport in the world and accountability should be part of it.” 💔 “The dressing room was silent after the final whistle. Many players felt heartbroken because we believed we had done enough to get something from the match. Moments like these can change games, especially at a World Cup where every point matters.” 🇭🇹 “Haiti may not be one of the traditional giants of world football, but our players, our supporters and our nation deserve the same respect as everyone else. We are proud to represent our country and we simply want fairness.” The comments have sparked widespread debate among supporters, with many Haiti fans demanding greater transparency from officials following the controversial defeat to Scotlan.
