@hyphy_republic I'm glad you're safe! It's scary out there -- last year, I was riding home from work, in the bike lane on Oak under the highway there, and a car passed me *on my right*. I barely ride anymore, because the fear hasn't worn off yet.

If the driver fleeing an Alameda police instigated chase on 12th had decided to use the bike lane instead of oncoming lane to pass us, I would be dead now. Another death piled on to weekend's misery, this one caused by pols falling over one another to push the stupidest policies

$TSLA I got on a Tesla robotaxi 9 times today in Austin, Texas. In this process, I tried to compare the rates of Tesla and Uber on the route. In my experience, Tesla was all cheaper than Uber on all routes. Tesla was up to 67% cheaper on some routes. There are numerous variables in this information, such as time, traffic conditions, and so on. So, this information is for your reference only, and eat it only with salt. I will let you know the driving data on the route as an image in the comments.

@elonmusk I know 10s of people that probably would have bought Teslas, but since someone had to go DOGE and Nazi... They all bought different cars instead.

Other autonomy providers bolt on their own sensors, with their owning cleaning. Tesla integrates it all together. The same wipers that clean the windshield also clean the front cameras. If you’re Waymo, how do you even go about reprogramming the windshield wiper routine for all the different car brands and models you run on? You don’t, you create a separate cleaning system for your own sensors. Tesla makes the car. They make the software that runs on the car. They control all the parts. They run the ride share service. They own the charging network. They own the service network. And they are making all of it fit together to deliver the best, the simplest, and the most elegant autonomy solution. This wiper routine is just one example of that.
