7 years ago today. That's when I took this pic of my 2018 @BMW i3S that I just got a few days earlier. The EV industry has made enormous strides since then, both in the vehicles and charging infrastructure. I know the i3 didn't get much love, but it was really a blast to drive and still looks more futuristic than 99% of the other cars on the road today; 12 years after it launched in late 2013. I definitely miss it.

@SonicSoundVW @itskyleconner agree. When I talk with people about EVs they are amazed at how normal the vehicles are if you treat them that way.

I think that’s the single biggest issue with BEVs is purely knowledge. People never really think about how far 100 miles really is, and when you have more than 250 miles of range, you eventually realize you can go to work for an entire week without plugging in (if you had to) things start to ease, I know watching your videos has definitely put me at ease. Watching the road trip races and everybody running them to zero or 5% makes me feel a lot better when I do it. Lol

I met someone who drives a tri-motor Rivian R1S today and 100% charges every night as she’s afraid she will run out of juice on her daily 25 mile round trip drive

Despite the reports that EVDave is dead, they are unfounded. I’m going through a period of being extremely busy with family stuff. Nice day on the road in my Model 3! Haven’t driven this thing in awhile - great to be back in it. We stopped at my favorite hotel spot in @Salina_Kansas - too bad they ripped out the basic Level 2 units and replaced them with these ChargePoint ones. Not only are they only 30A (~6.4kW) - fairly sure a downgrade from 40A before - they charge $3/hr -> seems too high…? you tell me. Anyway, weirdly, love it here!
