I have to thank past me to develop {tsibble} and my coauthors for the whole tidyverts. Bc I use these tools every day at my work now. 😂 It makes life so much easier to work with time series analysis and forecasting from a user’s point of view. 🌟

Take a break from teaching... #AcademicLife As an inexperienced lecturer who just started my second year, I currently teach #rstats to > 300 students. Markings have been automated, so that I have bandwidths to develop new and creative materials for stats220.earo.me .

@KenButler12 In fact I don't have TAs, but 3 lab helpers who do Q&A sessions. Since I revamp this course, lab helpers haven't been trained. Agree, students should explain ideas. My final assignment is to ask them to explain what learnt from data in Rmd.

@minebocek They submit R files. For the last assignment, they will submit Rmd.

@earowang This sounds awesome I’ve been doing something similar and would love to compare notes sometime! Are students submitting Rmd files on Canvas?

@KenButler12 ~ 10% of students for a big assignment. I've set up a google form for them to complain, and respond them in bundles. When I go through their submissions, neither can run their scripts, nor check outputs against the values I provided.

@smussenden currently sits in my private repo, with all student's data. When I get this semester done, will wrap them in a package and write a post perhaps.
