Delighted to announce that Dr Jacob Cheung, a member of my team & with whom I co-authored a paper earlier this year, has been awarded the L. G. Groves Memorial Prize for Meteorology.

Great to be in London to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Marine Data Exchange yesterday: comprising 260+ terabytes of free information (including data in collaboration with @metoffice), at a total estimated value of £1.5 billion, this is a truly amazing milestone!
