The new record arrives only a few days after the previous high of 22.4GW, which was set on Sunday evening 📈 The news comes on the day that the Government has published its latest Energy Trends report, which details new electricity generation statistics covering the third quarter of this year (July to September). I love the SW and today I was delighted to attend the Great SW launch, courtesy of our brilliant Exeter MP @steve_race. Lovely to represent my role at @SimplyBlueGroup and as a board member of @PlymSciencePark and @RenewableUK, given the potential our region has in energy.

Delighted that we have such supportive Ministers interested in floating offshore wind. @mgshanks is absolutely right: the UK can be a leader in floating wind, if we make the right choices now to push forward these innovative projects, such as our Erebus scheme in the Celtic Sea.

It's always a pleasure to be back in the constituency for my fortnightly help and advice surgery. This weekend we were at Nunny's Farm in South Ward, where I had some really insightful conversations with a number of local residents. We even got to meet Bob the sheep!
