I'm just sick. This is an awful day for my country, but a shattering day for the Kirk family. I feel sorrow on so many levels.

@RussLatino Sounds like he signed a really stupid contract.

I just got off the phone with a business owner in Mississippi. He’s pumped millions into a business distributing a product he imports from China. His contract with the company prevents him from manufacturing it in the U.S. He also has contracts with a number of large retailers (Walmart, Walgreens, etc). He described some of those contracts as inflexible — requiring him to sell a unit at a set price. He told me he anticipates paying over $1 million in tariffs next week (as the 54% tariff kicks in) and has no ability to simply upcharge his retail customers to cover the expense. In his words, “Russ, I don’t have 54% profit. This is put me out of business stuff.” I share this because there are probably tens of thousands of businesses in similar situations. I just happened to have one reach out to me.

Don't get lost in the tit-for-tat of the day. It has been known for a long time that Zelensky doesn't want the war to end. Even Biden's people said that, though privately. Today was just the performative display to the world that Zelensky doesn't really have a say in the matter. It's brutal to say to his face, but that's the truth. This has been the CIA's war from the beginning, and Zelensky and Ukraine are still alive entirely because of the US. All the UKR flags in profiles and cheering has been useful propaganda, but it was never real. This has been America's war, more specifically the interventionist/globalist CIA's war. Today was Trump basically saying, "the war ends now. It's not up to you. If you don't agree, we throw you to the wolves." And if your goal is peace, that's actually a very sensible position to take.

Seems like Zelensky was being mocked by them for a while before hand about not wearing a suit and not signing a deal without guarantees . Then Zelensky started pushing back on the comments and a heated debate started . Would like to know if he planned that ahead of time or not
