Cotalk is now live on open beta! I have been silently building this project for the last 3 months, and it is finally ready for people to try it. Cotalk is a lightweight communications app and a place for communities to talk, meet, and keep context. It is community-oriented, low-latency, and privacy-focused. And it is completely free to use during the open beta! Try it at cotalk.app.

After a few failed project, this is pretty much my current method now. The first week of a project is just me having a long ass discussion with ChatGPT 5.5 Pro Extended. Great at doing research and brainstorming and it is pretty grounded. Then we go to Codex and start building.

How to be good at anything with AI (fast) (app development) Here is my framework to leverage AI and become unstoppable in whatever you do. The general idea is to cast a wide net first, then radically execute. 1. Find the key players in the domain Everything looks easy from the outside, but every large organization has solved a billion tiny (and large) problems to be where they are. Find them. Use AI to tell you what the major challenges are to approach this space, example lead by . 2. Divide et impera Break the whole domain into broad categories. Then divide each until it becomes a manageable piece to work on (it might take a few attempts to get a good feeling for this, there's no mathematical way to it). 3. Seeing is believing Try to find as many videos as possible about the smaller set of problems in the category you will tackle first. Watch them, all of them, hours, doesn't matter. People will show and tell you lessons you wouldn't have learned in 10 years on your own. Watch for details, small side notes, they are the most important pieces of information!! 4. Seed prompt Ask ChatGPT to make a plan on how to build the first feature. Explain everything you observed from the videos ("i saw them do XYZ, why? is that important? are there alternatives?"). This is the longest conversation you should have, keep it in one chat. Once you reach context saturation (gpt knows enough about what to do), tell it to create a codex/fable/whatever prompt with milestones to achieve. 5. Break the rules After your first successful /goal, you should have a minimal version of the app. Now start exploring system boundaries. Break assumptions, do things wildly different. Eventually you'll find one or two things that are worth digging deeper. Dig. Break it again, learn. 6. Revolutions You'll eventually understand that your (and GPTs) core assumptions were completely wrong. Great, now you can remodel the app, share your learnings with the AI, ask why certain things were impossible to do, give examples of the key players that DID it successfully. Why wasn't it possible for you? What needs to change? First principles! Congratulations, you have created your first symbiotic co-creation loop with AI. Start at 1 or 2 again, and keep doing this. This framework has served me well for over a year now and allows me to build things in 2 weeks with no prior experience what would've taken months, maybe years before AI. If you apply this consistently, you will see that you become an unstoppable force, so grab some sunglasses and start vibing!

@MelkeyDev i have done a hot air balloon and it was really nice, but also i get why no one would want to do it. helicopter was also fun - but again - wouldn't choose to do it a lot. haven't done any sky diving but i will once. and yet, i still think you are making all correct choices

Coding performance is the only thing that matters. Everything is a computer that is running code. OpenAI and the chinese labs know this. Literally anything else is smoke and mirrors.

@usr_bin_roygbiv are these bms for coding or non-coding tasks?

@egebasoner wonder how that would work with something like openrouter. ill just keep unsubbing til there are none without id and then prob just verify with one lol the principle may not hold up in that case tbh

@usr_bin_roygbiv It requires hand-holding, but it seems truly capable of everything when used right. You just need to work together with it and don't expect it to one-shot big tasks.

5.5 is such a ridiculous model I don't think anyone has found the upper bound on it even still I don't even want to know what they have internally right now. Only problem is how slow it is during the day.

@IndieGamesCafe Not using fast mode, the weekly usage limits last me roughly a week now, which is good. During the promo I was blasting fast mode xhigh lol

@egebasoner idk after the 2x promotino ending, I'm running out of limits often. Maybe app way too freaking complex. I just do other shit or use a shit model to help me reason with code I'm reading / manually editing.
