@amazonmilkfrog @TheDarkDuchesss All amphetamine derivatives increase risk - really, all stimulants do - but meth is in its own class of severity. Especially street use because you never know how strong the dose has been.

@TheDarkDuchesss Whenever there's anesthesia they take me off all amphetamine derivatives and adrenaline influencing medications... which means I'll be real sniffly and itchy. I hate it so much. And then the anesthesia doesn't work any better because they keep forgetting I'm immune to some of it.

@citrusgirlpaige The magnetism in my augs is one of those "yeaaah that's hard to forget now isn't it". Technically I could get them modified to remove the magnetism but... eh. It would cost a lot and doesn't really matter apart from a MRI. And all local MRI setups can handle it.

@leelagirlzero I spent a lot of time trying to overcome my anxieties. In the end, it turned out the anxieties were rational and my hope of a better future wasn't. I gave up on my hopes, and the anxiety went "well I'm no longer needed".

@AreURJjayin @f4micom @losingitbestie The tools themselves are 7 euro at our local Lidl this week. Using them with a top-loading washing machine is a bit unusual but now that I think about it I did get my shirt wet multiple times. Went with a front loader once that goddamn machine kicked the bucket.

@f4micom @losingitbestie Well my grandparents kinda got us hooked on (hehe) using one a long time ago. We don't use it normally but every now and then my mom has a back issue or whatnot, and we dig it out. It's one of those seen on TV gimmick products but sometimes it can be helpful lmao

@avaluciarevilla People, especially pre-internet, build their view of normal on their experiences and never consider there are a whole lot of people out there that never had that life. Personally, I was not sleeping due to brain damage and didn't do anything fun during my entire youth.

@avaluciarevilla I've had severe issues with breathing since before I was a teenager, and alcohol would make those worse. I've literally never been to a bar with friends. Not that I had any at the appropriate age range either way.

i got yelled at at the ripe old age of seventeen because i wanted to cross the street to the grocery store and that was “suicidal” just to have boomers at work ask why i haven’t gone to many bars before like idk man the outside wasn’t always a thing growing up

@TheDarkDuchesss Well, that's not true. However, if you do find someone like that who will date you, you have to deal with the denouement. The circle must always close, and eventually you'll end up staring at the mirror, and that experience is otherwordly in how shitty it is.

Like nobody is perfect and theyll mess up and its ok but when the person you wanna date is severely ill, mismanaging or slipping up bad enough at a delicate moment can make them shatter like glass and immediately write you off forever. I have never met anyone who can handle it

The bad thing about being severely mentally ill is that even if somebody thinks youre attractive and wants to date you have to put them through 10,000 trials of insecurities and crises that they have to handle perfectly bc if they get too tired or mismanage a situation its over

@suchnerve Financial stability so there's less money stress, sexual satisfaction without additional risk, sharing work so she has more energy to spare. And no traits that make her insecure about status, usually "don't be fat, stinky, poor, or disabled".

One of the most annoying parts of having cptsd and bad mental health (among other things) is that its genuinely impossible for me to have soft, cute eyes anymore. They look so intense and sad all the time and like I really think it's just going to be like this forever 😭

@TheDarkDuchesss @MalloryMable Nah, it is not. Remain calm when in danger. That's not dying, dying is very calm. That's the response to running out of air, and forcing yourself to stay calm through that is perfectly doable. Granted, it's better to have the training orienting yourself before you need it.

@emonotony @MalloryMable like if you're in a place where the water isnt still doing that stopping thing hes doing will let you be pushed under deeper. You have to keep moving, you cant do what hes saying. Its bad and wrong advice for the endgame of drowning lol. And Its ok to not be calm when dying lol

When you're drowning your vision goes first. You can't see which direction the light is or where bubbles are going. All you have are two absolute truths - if you stop moving you will never move again - if you kick in the wrong direction you'll be too far gone to try again

@emonotony @MalloryMable Its possible to stay calm until your vision goes and you start going unconcious as you feel your limbs going limp when the last time you could see you were still far away from the surface. The point where you realize you could die is when you start going "thisisitTHISISITNONONO-"

@TheDarkDuchesss @MalloryMable Learning how to force yourself to be calm and stop in that situation is hard to learn, but entirely possible. The pain and panic doesn't control what you do. Up is the way you go when you stop. Doesn't apply after 30 feet of depth or so.

@MalloryMable Yeah ive almost drown 12 times and no matter how good of a swimmer you are theres just no way to calmly stop and do this. The pain in your lungs and body is agonizing and your arms and legs start stiffening while going weak. Even just flailing takes EVERYTHING you have left

@f4micom We'll adapt. There have been so many sloppy security solutions over the years, catastrophic vulnerabilities, and corporations not really knowing how to update, and we lived through it. Kind of the reason things like the GDPR exist - can't lose data you don't have.

i think an immense amount of economic damage could happen if at the worst time ever a state actor that might already be inside and waiting right now manages to exfiltrate and either leak or privately distillate the weights for an actually powerful and dangerous SOTA LLM like idk mythos could be a good target in this sense but i don’t think they would waste their occasion right away on something like that
