There is an autism lottery. Either you're autistic about something totally monetarily useless like sonic speedrunning, or you are autistic about something that makes a fuck ton of money like GPU schedulers

Excited to present our rat exoskeleton at ICRA 2026! We developed what we believe is the first rodent exoskeleton designed to support the entire rat hindlimb (thigh, shank, and foot). Our goal is to provide a new robotic platform for neurorehabilitation research. #ICRA2026

Shoulder movement, just the spherical joint. Ah so much to do still.

Rough idea of where i'm going, pitch/yaw drives pulling spherical joint at fixed positions and the roll drive making the whole inner structure of the joint spin within a large bearing. Have yet to figure out cable redirection and constant feed rate to keep the cables tensioned.

event sensors are wild. they output asynchronous pixel change events rather than a global or rolling shutter dumping entire frames. this allows for a pseudo high frame rate (10k fps). going to see if i can track bullets in flight. will update soon.

So, I have two test users and needed a guide - so I made a System Help/Guide for my Operating System. This has sound, so sound on! All in C/C++, & some light HTML for pages. The voice took a lot of work to get right (imho agents *should* sound like this)

Composites are maybe the neural nets of mechanics.
Not trivial to model behaviour, essentially a black box.
Try a bunch of configurations until something works.
Just one more layer bro i swear we’ll fix that failure.

@exalbur A simple X + Y axis joints should have done the trick! Y + Z even! If you care about durability you can make the joints bigger. 😂It'll cost a hundred times more just to have this part
